Kings Quest I problems

I just want to warn people how frustrating Kings Quest I can be if you are not careful. I had to start over when I forgot to get the mushroom and got stuck in the cave and now Graham is stuck outside the woodcutters cottage. He can't walk,but he does everything else,which is
apparently a bug. I guess I will be starting over again.
