I wanted to have an option to choose which windows i wanted to boot when my computer starts.
These are the steps i took:
1.I installed windows Me on my d: partition, autoexec and other startup files were formed on the c: partition
2.Then i installed winXP on c: partition in such way that i can select which windows i want to start

Everything was OK, but something went wrong on my winxp partition and I needed to reinstall it, but i didn't touch the d: (winme partition)
Now I have winxp on my c: partition and winme on my d: partition, but I can't start winme.
I tried to edit boot.ini and I managed to get a screen which asks me what os  i want to boot, but when i select winme i get an error that says that I'm missing hal.dll, which is a winxp dll.
This is what i entered in boot.ini:
Code: ags

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)WINME="Microsoft Windows Millenium Edition"

any suggestions?

#2
But then I can't play Driver and System Shock 2 and I don't have teletext on my TV card.

What's the use of the compatibility mode in XP when it doesn't work? >:(

ME's a piece of crap.. Did you try looking for patches and updates for you hardware and the games??
