I know this topic probably has been covered before but I was wondering if any ags designers ever made jewel case covers for their games?  I bet some of you have. Really interested to see what some people have come up with. Recently I made one for my game to hand out to my friends.
Here it is:

Hey Mods,
Kinda hard to see it but that looks pretty good.
Are the characters on the front illustratons or photos?

Illustration, drawn by Helm. I really love the "lucky one"t-shirt! Lucky!1 - i'm going to get that made into a real t-shirt sooner or later ;)

And for the record (and I won't be repeating this) Kinky Island is in development, slowly but surely. But I'm keeping it quiet. Why? Because I don't want it to ruin FoY's reputation, so you'll have to understand that I'm choosing not to really talk about it or promote it. But when it's ready I'll be sure to tell. Been working on the script. The game isn't as everyone originally thought. In fact, far from it now I'm afraid. It's basically just a slapstick comedy adventure, with a little bit of sex on the side.

:)

PS- Dick, LOL - that bloody gif. Good old Demorgon ;)

PPS!111 - Piratelife4you, I very much like your jewel case!

Thanks

BTW: Very smart idea using the ags blue cup logo on the back (why didn't I think of that?).

Yeah, I'm diggen the cover. You've really improved. I was planning to make a case for my band, so does that res. print out correctly sized?

Inkoddi

I say use a cover designer program like nero coverdesigner or feurio!...

Whenever I do get my games done and out, I'll be sending them out in custom made boxes and jewel cases.  the good ol' days will be back.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

I checked what my dads program prints at. It runs 886w x 691h at 150dpi. Sounds a little big dont you think?

piraatlife4me

Yeah that sounds a little too big. I measured 15 cm by about 11.5 cm for the back portion of a jewel case. 12 cm by 12 cm for the front cover. Times this by two if you plan to have it fold out. Another thing I really recommend if any one plans to make labels for their cds (I did). There is this really good label making kit called Media Face by a company called Neato. It costs about ten bucks and it comes with tons of paper and pretty decent software for creating the cd and jewel case labels. I actually found it at a Target store (of all places). I made one for my game and it actually looks really professional. It also has a really good wizard setup program that just walks you through it so it's really easy.
Just thought I would let you guys know about it.

I used MS Word for my covers. Got a FOY one in the works too (again with MS Word - problem with GIFS tho :()

I measured 12x12cm for the front, and a bit bigger on the back. A. jewel cases rock!

When I was 12 or so and dreaming of making adventure games, the package design was the first thing I was thinking about  ;D

After seeing the contents of Pirate's Jewel case in a store, if it wasn't made in AGS. The screenshots would have sold me on the game, and i would have bought it right away.

when buying any game, i always look for screenshots.

Totoro

I would have bought Kinky Island, not because of Mods' photo but because of the girl on the left  ;D
