Help in Chez Apa

Ok, I've been in the back room, found the safe, found stuff in the desk.  I currently have a cue stick, a coin, and some peanuts.  What is next?  I can't open the safe to get money.  I can't get anything out of anybody.  I put the matches under the table.  I can't play darts.  So what do I do next?

As far as I can remember it's something to do with the parrot. Try talking to him, he may have something useful to say?

I can't get into the club. I've got as far as getting the salt and the gum. I assume I've got to stop the door from closing so that when I make the buzzer stick and lure the bouncer back in, I can sneak in the back door, but either I'm missing an item or this is the wrong idea  

I seem to have tried everything with everything (though I may have missed something due to boredom with the process ).

Any help?

Thanks, but that only mentions using the gum on the buzzer, and I'm already doing that. How do I wedge the door to keep it from closing?

I didn't have the thorn - I assumed the window was one object - didn't even really notice the plant! I'm still amazed that I never managed to hit the plant all the times I clicked on that window though!

I know it's smoething to do with the parrot but I must be really stupid because I just can't open that damn safe.

The code won't work unless you actually go through the sequence to find it out.

You have to stand and wait until the parrot has gone through his entire list of statements (it's pretty long). Once he starts repeating himself, go and talk to the barman.

  I am stuck and don't know what to do. I have the peanuts, nose ring, sharpened broom and thing from the safe but don't know what to do next. Can anyone help?

  I did and he said I needed a cue to play. He says that the sharpened broom is not enough but I don't know what else to do. Can you help me further?
