For some reason.....i lost desktop icons

My machine might have a bug......it happened a week ago and i restored them.........and its happened again.

My virus software don`t spot any problems....and i use a fire wall..

Anyone else have this or similar...

What should i do?

It happened to me months ago... I never found out the problem, and I didn't do anything and it ended up being fine.

Anyway, check for spyware using Spybot and Adaware after doing a virus scan. Use trend micros Housecall thing, it's on line... and I think the address is...

Download that program - it helps many of the minor annoyances you get from using Windows. Specifically, there's an option to repair your desktop icons. It works 90% of the time.
