I'm generally a private person, and I wasn't even going to post my game untill it was finished.  However, these forums have helped me incredibly, and I love being part of the AGS community.

The game is called Rogue Saga.  It is scheduled for summer.  The best way to describe it is American Fantasy.   The story is this...................

The frost comes early to the Northern Lands.  The people of the mountains came down into the Borderlands in search of food.  When the farmers had no resources to share,  they killed for it.  The migrants actions were so hideous, their forms became twisted untill their bodies reflected their nature.  You play Shepard, a templar in the capital city.  Your brother is fighting in the borderlands.  The army has requested more aid, and the templars decide to send someone to determine the situation.  You were not chosen, but, of course, you have to go.........

That's where it starts.  You must find a way to replace the templar who's leaving because you're worried about your brother.

Hey! Just checked out your screenshots and they look pretty good. Is your art done in some type of 3D software?  Anyway looks really good!
Good luck with your game  ;)

Hey, Thanks for the support.

Everything in the screenshots are done using Paint Shop Pro 8 without rips.  It has the ability to produce very 3D-looking sprites.  I recommend this software to anyone with the means to get it.

:o i have psp8 and obviously i havent got it working ot its full potential yet. i didnt know you could get 3d looking stuff like those lions on the door frame in pic1.

So you did it all in psp8? no c+p of photo's?

No Cut & Paste......Sort've.

-For the Totems in Pic 1:

I used PSP 8 animal picture tubes, removed their heads, and added the topography effect to make them look more 3D.  After that I drew an orange sphere, and altered the geometric effects untill I got the shape I wanted.  The animals were sliced in half and placed on seperate layers sandwiching the shape, (it looked as if the animals were carved from the shape).  After that I merged the image, rubbed it together, and added wood textures and lighting effects.

Whew!!!  I know that sounds long winded but it's easy once you get to know it.  I can't draw with ANY writing utensil to save my life.  I always tell people paint shop is all math.   For me & a lot of people on this forum, they can code better than they could ever draw.

Thanks for the support.  Good Luck on your own game!!

Let me be more Specific than that.  I saw screenshots for Gaurd Duty, and by all means, keep working with PSP 8, but your art and story are excellent.  I'm really looking forward to it!!!
