I have problems loading the game. What file do I load?

Sigh, it was the time when I waited patiently for the game to load and then I extracted it using WinAce. There was an error when I loaded the ACWIN.EXE file and it said:
Error STO2: could not load game file 'AC2GAME.DAT'.

Then it said: You must create and save a game first in the Room Editor before you could use this engine.

What in the world is wrong?!

Hi, Edwinxie:

Should try to unzip it with old reliable winzip (zip files) or winrar (rar files): no problems. Or then get the game from outher source in the net.

Hope you don't have any more problems

I see what you mean: all downloadable fonts are in .ace

By the way, I had to remove winace from my pc, it was giving me problems.

The Night of the Hermit game is too slow and terrible!!!! It runs on .exe files if you click the file IN the hermit.ace file. Strange.

And you don't click that file I that had that error, you were supposed to click hermit.exe which doesn't have the AGS engine written. Worst of all I got Windows and that only supports DOS! Awww. By the way, I got Windows XP.

It wasn't slow for me when I played it, and have xp (professional edition), too: the home edition is not so trustful. But I checked those ace files ARE rar ones, so why don't uninsntall and reinstall your winace, or get winrar (the one I prefer is winrar v3.1)?
