I got my OWN forum!!!

Hey I just got my site up and running smoothly, and I decided to add my OWN forum, similar to this one. You should check it out and become members there. It's still kinda screwed up with the colors and options and stuff, so just ignore any screw-ups you see. If you have any suggestions for it, just post them either here, there, or e-mail me at madman@madmancreations.com.

What's with teh kids and their forums?

What's the purpose of your forum? Who do you expect would like to join it? What could anybody possibly achieve by joining your forum that isn't already provided by the AGS-forum?

Is it just so that you can feel powerful, being the adminstrator?

Would you join your forum yourself, if you weren't already the administrator? If so, why?

If you have to own your own forum, at least base it on a special theme, to attract some sort of particular target audience.

Whoa... calm down there! I only put it up cause I thought it would be cool. I'm not trying to steal your members or anything. My forum is about my organization, not about adventure games.

And I am working on a new theme. I'm just using that one while I work on the new one.

By 'theme' I think he meant, like, a thing for your potential users to talk about.

Like the AGS forums are here to talk (mainly) about AGS & adventure games. Our love for those items lead to discussions in Gen Gen, but without AGS, there would be no point for these forums (& we wouldn't be friends).

Another example: the Gamefaqs forums are there for people to discuss 1337ness & how they pwn things.

My point is, people are not going to want to talk there without something to talk about, & from what I've seen there is not enough on your site to warrant great discussions on your forums. But hey, who am I to judge?
