Trying out new style

Haven't had much time to draw lately, so I thought i'd try something different since I had some free hours today...

I don't have much experience with this style of pixelart, so if anyone has any suggestions for improvement, please let me know.

Some very nice shading/coloring on the ship!

The stormtroopers look pretty great too.

The sand could use some work, but it doesn't look bad either.

This is the BG style I like most!Ã,Â I made some Star Wars RPG sprites about a year ago:

They're not bad, but I like the angle you have on your stormie better!Ã,Â It fits in with the style better I think.

Are you making a Star Wars game?Ã,Â Or just playing around with the style?

Damien - Yeah, I was worried about the similarities to Yoda Stories after I made them, but I think they're quite different.

Darth - I like the sprites, I remember your SW game work from before, and I really liked your other work as well.

I'm tempted to make a SW game... I've been playing a lot of Knights of the Old Republic lately, and it's got me in the SW mood again. Think i'll just play with the stlye for now, if I say i'll make a game i'll probably never finish it.

Pixelkitty, looking reallly good. could add a little bit of a transparent shadow to the troopers i think. the only other thing is that the empire logo on the ship seems as though it is being viewed from directly downward while the ship is at an angle

but it looks pretty professional

stuh505 - I noticed the same problem with the logo, I shrunk the top a bit so it would look slanted, but it's not really noticeable... i'll have to work on it some more.

I did a little animation... working on a background and some other characters now.

Love it, it's fantastic! Very nicely done, that's real talent!

But, the background doesn't seem to fit the same perspective. That's just a minor quibble though.

Relight - Yeah, the background bothers me a bit too, but I like it too much to change it at the moment.
