Hi and Welcome to the forums! :)

The AGS Awards are probably a good indicator.
Personally, I liked Pleurghburg: Dark Ages very much.

There are many great ones.  It's hard to pick just one.

I'm quite fond of The Apprentice.  The King's Quest 2 VGA remake is quite excellent, too.

Go to the games page, and look through the Game of the Months. They are also a good indication of quality games.

GMG, stick to ONE thread of a certain subject at one time. Your newer thread is too similar to this. Please keep in mind that bandwidth costs money.

Don't forget to check out 5- o'clock Lock!

The author is amazing!  He is a jazz guitarist who won the US presidential fitness award 3 times, made his school's honor roll every year, and won 2003-2004 Defensive Player of the Year in baseball!  :)
I fail at art.

Doc Comic

Of the few AGS games I have played (and actually beaten) so far, I've been rather fond of Pleurghberg.  It's made me feel like I'm playing Police Quest in VGA all over again, and boy, do I love that feeling.  5 Days A Stranger was also unbelievably good, too.  It came outta' leftfield.  Oh, and as a comic fan, I have to give kudos to Defender of RON.

All AGS games are good, though.  The fact that these people can fully design, program, animate, and do every other thing to these games to make it actually playable is amazing.  There are some that rise above the others, depending on who you are.  I like Pleurghberg, but others may enjoy Night of the Hermit.  It's all a matter of preference.
Alright, you primitive screwheads, listen up!  You see this?  This...is my BOOMSTICK!
