Yes, I'm still here! I haven't posted much lately, but I'm still working on my game The Void. I'm working on this background, and I got this far.

UPDATED :

- fixed the perspective on the flowerwall
- fixed the perspective on the bookcase
- shortened the lamp
- removed the checkboard on the painting
- made changes on the door
- added a calendar on the wall
- added a table, with candle, notes and a box of cookies
- removed the window

I need to know if everything looks OK. And furthermore I need help with adding a desk table, in the front of the room, against the wall. It may sound odd, but I couldn't get the perspective right of the table... :'(

are those blue (glass?) doors IN the wall? or on a cabinet? If the latter, then it needs more depth too it (like the bookcase has). Also, on the "east" door, why does the floor colour come halfway up the wall?

Otherwise: greta, I love the style.

On the east door I think Its ment tobe 3d looking as thats the floor of the next room and the browns a continuation of the wall

- the blue glass... or whatever you call it, is in the normal world a WINDOW! ;) I don't understand how the depth of the window can be wrong?

- The right side, is not yet complete, for it is work in progress. As LostTraveler said, it's ment to be like that 3d looking with continuation of the wall. I though need to change the colours and texture it, because it's going to be the kitchen.

All in all I like this style!Ã,  I like the ammount of details in the bookshelf, the painting, the wallpaper, the lamp.Ã,  It really adds to the overall image when you put in so many little details.

First things first ... the perspective is just a wee-bit off:

Here is a (what I think is) corrected perspective:

- added some depth to the door frame
- added more depth to the bookshelf (in perspective)
- changed the perspective on the wall (flower wallpaper)
- added a table

Crits:
- The window (is that a window!?) is pretty small and out of place.Ã,  I might suggest making it a tad bigger.
- The painting to the right of the bookshelf ... I would do away with the checker-board color there ... you're using enough color that you can just select the green you want.Ã,  When in fullscreen it kind of stands out!
- The mixture between black outlining and non-black outlining could be worked on a little
- As always from me, add some shadows/shading

Hope it helps!

Wow, that's a great and helpful edit there DM! I'm glad I used for everything a different layer :) Your right that the window does seem alittle small and out of place.. so I remove it there. Thanks for the help on perspective. I'll do my best in correcting it, and try to add some shadows, though I never worked with shadows before  ::)

Nice table, and it seems so simple! grr... drawing takes me really a bunch of hours and hours, and you do it so quickly! *jealous*...

Here is my new version!

- fixed the perspective on the flowerwall
- fixed the perspective on the bookcase
- shortened the lamp
- removed the checkboard on the painting
- made changes on the door
- added a calendar on the wall
- added a table, with candle, notes and a box of cookies
- removed the window

I might just add another seat, at where the window was, so that the lamp has a real function :) What do you think of it now?

Much better.  Few things i'd suggest:

- Fade the wallpaper design a bit, seems very distracting.
- darken the back of the bookcase shelves.
- move the candle holder up a bit, seems like it's on the edge.

Looks really nice other than those points... I think adding a seat would be a good idea, also.
