Just a quick note to say I've returned from the Brittens Camp Site.  A good time was had by all, and is still being had by most!

I'll post a bit more later this evening, but here are a few nuggets for now.

- Plenty of new Avatar / Wallpaper images featuring CJ!
- Petteri and Davey brought down a couple of demos, plus Magintz showed some screenshots of his new game.
- It rained, a LOT!

Pop back over the coming week as various members recover from their ordeal.

Matt

Mr Jake

They were only screenshots of Mag's game right?? No demo right??

did it rain alot?? I hope so  ;D

Pumaman

I also be back now, and quite refreshingly haven't heard any airplanes go overhead for the last few hours  ;)

Anyway, I'm too lazy to do proper captions or anything for teh photos, so I'll just dump mine here:

So, who was at Brittens, anyway?

Pumaman (of course), Magintz, Petteri, Pessi, Custard, m0ds, Matt Goble, and who else? Any of them coming to America (with eddie murphy of course!)

Well Las, thats like saying "isn't it Winter here"... I had nothing but sun today and most of the week. :P

Haddas

You know what, I think that's Petteri. He got a haircut recently didn't he?

LordHart

Well... um.

I suppose he's a girly man then. :P

Timosity

Sounds like you had more rain at Brittens than I've had all year in Sydney (and I'm being literal)

wake up, oh gee, another sunny day, gets kind of predictable (but it is nice, especially as I work outdoors)

one of my brother inlaws parents are in London at the moment and they said it was colder over there than it was here.

I didn't see any soccer in CJ's photos, I thought everyone would be trying to imitate that Euro thingy that's going on (oh yeah that's right, England are crap)

I thought from some of the thumbnails that you were all pulling bongs, but from the larger image it seems you were just eating.

magintz

i'm also back, will post photos later, when i can be bothered
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

Are we gonna get some sort of proper round up?
A list of those present?

Better photos than CJ:s foggy pictures of necks, backs and streets in the rain?

PS:
Additional questions:
At what point did Magintz turn evil?
Who is he assaulting?
Is that an electronical sex-toy?
There are so many questions!!

Privateer Puddin'

I have also returned, yey or somit!

Who attended?

The attendees were, from left to right in this photo:
custard, m0ds, Pessi, Petteri, Magintz, mattgoble.
There was also AGA, Creed Malay and myself, out of shot in this photo. I'm sure one of the other guys will post the proper group photo in due course.

What happened

It rained. A lot. Yes, it's summer. No, it's not Australia.

In between the rain, and during it, we saw the lovely sites of Staines, watched Shrek 2, and went for a day trip into London. Fitted around that was much discussion of adventure games and more.

Petteri, Creed Malay and Magintz showed demos and screenshots of their upcoming games -- all looking very promising. We even got to see m0ds' design folder for FoY!

All in all, it was very similar to the first Mittens. Except we didn't get to have a game of footy, because it was too darn wet.

T'was great to see you all. Thanks to everyone for coming --especially Pessi and Petteri for making the international journey -- and to m0ds for organising it once again.
With Mittens in under 4 weeks time, some of us shall be meeting again quite soon :)

Andail

Cool.
This is the first picture of Pessi I've ever seen, and possibly the only one published so far.

I don't care much for you ugly brits. Except for Mattgobble, pleasant as always.

Hey!

</fonzie>

Yes, a great time was had by all.  What was Creed's demo like? I never got to see it as the laptop needed plugging into a wall socket, and the only two on the camp site were being used for cutting hair and charging mobiles!!

Andail, one point Saturday night the 'yoofs' in the tents next to us were still quite loud at almost 11:30.  All the mitteners were getting ready to shout that immortal phrase 'shut the f**k up!' - how we have all grown old!

I alway enjoy getting to these events when possible / when I get myself organised - it's like a more natural freeform version of these forums.  Everyone's games look really good, and not one of you seemed to be a complete *cough* wankaaar *cough*

With regard to Magintz photo - when we were up in London, Magintz took us to a Namco arcade, where he beat us all at Daytona.  Chris paid Magintz to play the Samauri sword game you see in the photo, where you have to swing a sword between a sensor to 'attack' the onscreen enemies.  Of course we had to bundle Magintz into the right position when we realised his sword swinging was having no effect - I guess that's why they put those feet shapes on the floor in front of the cabinet  ;D

m0ds

LOL utter madness! It was good fun, I hope everyone got back safely! My pics soon :D

[Cameron]

Query: When is Mittens coming to Australia dammit?

Pet Terry

I finally got back home! Man, what a great experience, I really enjoyed being there. Hopefully I'll meet all of you guys again sometime.

And, I have A LOT of photos, I'll try them to PhotoThumb or something as soon as possible :)
