Problem with Visual C++

Ive just got round to installing visual C++, and I was looking forward to tinkering with it (ah, the wonders of tinkering)...

anywho, every time I go to compile it say "Error executing C:\Windows\System32\Cmd.exe" I'm using XP Proffesional, and its really bugging me now.

It means your Cmd.exe file is corrupt most likely..

There ya go.. Boot up in safe mode and replace this file (extract first, of course) with your old Cmd.exe in C:/Windows/System32

I run Windows XP Professional aswell, so this should be fine.

because Windows might not let you replace it? I dunno.. If it works w/out safe mode, then I was wrong.. Always good to be "safe"

Never mind, I just plopped it into the system32 folder and windows asked if I wanted to replace it. Visual C++ works fine now, thanks! Now justto learn how to use the damn thing.....
