After reading the description of the plot, a few things stand out:

1.  Seagulls routinely flying around a rural farming area?

2.  A turkey that breaks out of a farm and is suddenly in L.A.?  Are there farms anywhere near Los Angeles?

Not trying to beat you down or anything, the plot just seems to have elements tossed together that don't really fit.

mousemat

yer it does kinda....maybe i will skip the part with LA

Guys, please restrain your posting and only post when you have something interesting to say.

I think what everyone is nicely trying to say is maybe you should come up with a better more original story.  The whole thing just seems silly, but if thats what you want to do then, have at it.

Here is my take:
Instead of using turkeys & pigeons don't you think it would be better with chickens & chicken hawks  (hehe I luv looney tunes), or a natural predator of the turkeys, like a war against fox's or something??? Any of these are hard to imagine as a game, what would the outcome be at the end, The enemy is dead, the turkeys die shortley after from starvation in there new habitat from generrations of domestication...   THE END
Do some research
Have you ever read Animal Farm (George Orwell)? This is a great book maybe you could make a game based on recent current events in the world depicted as animals? Errrr.... I give up... Anyways I hope you can work out a more interesting solid story from everyones ideas   :D

OR grow up and work out a real story.

Ya' know there are just so many hipicrits around these forums - Maybe a few others might wanna grow up along with the rest of us  :o

Mousemat good try but yes this very much could be a failing story, but still there are many good ideas so do what ya' will. I think your best bet would be just to start with a new story. This link may prove usefull it even helped me a lot too!

Define a "real" story. Is that one where you use someone elses characters and you have to find some ingredients for a troll or it will do something bad?

Okay, I'll grant that was a bit strong, and I apologise to CJ for not fully taking in his reminder.

What I meant was I can't see this story coming off. Perhaps if it was handled in a spoofy farcical type way, but I don't think this is likely (Rated 15: A bundle of fun).
Maybe I'm wrong, but unless the plot is refined a little more, it'll still sound like something some guy made up on the spot. My advice is to leave it for a while. Don't sit down and try to think up a plot. Go on with your daily life and eventually something will inspire you to make a truly great game.

And Krazy, if you checked the most recent version, rather than the one I released half a year ago, you'd know thats all change. Granted I haven't actually released this updated version, but what the hell. Its on whats left of my PC  right now, and thats what counts....I think. (Besides thats not a plot. Its a "happpening" which would be explained at a later stage. The ingredients don't make a second appearance after that scene anyway.)

fine but i think its all write now i have a part inbotween things telling a story egt when the turkey leaves the farm the game says something like 'And the turkey traveeled down the depths of the forest and fileds and came accross a huge .... CITY'  or something like that.
And i was joking about rated 15......!!!

Flibble is right, youll happen accross your best plots and characters by accident. My game actually started as a joke, which is worrying.

I think everyone's getting a little worked up hereÃ,  :-\.
Just a few points I have:

1) Have you made a simple game using AGS mousemat? The reason I ask is because I still don't have the hang of it after many an hour fiddling around.
My first game consisted of three rooms, a hidden key, a "puff the magic dragon" character to talk to (who let you into the next room without recieving his coinÃ,  :P) and some attrocious ms paint scribbled graphics. So if this is your first real attempt at a game you should try something simple.

2) Everyone has their own opinions and reservations about game ideas. I wish people would refrain from saying exactly how they feel about it. OK a little constructive criticism is good. Think of films, in many the plot is unrealistic - extremely unrealistic. It doesn't mean it's a bad film. My example is "Being John Malkovich" Extremely unrealistic but a great film.

3) Your game sounds as though it could be good. Could being the operative word. As many people have said, turkeys and L.A. don't really mix (also think about the locations in L.A., thinking about how long it would take me to make the backgrounds scares me). Don't necessarily think about what's realistic and what's not......Think about what would be acceptable. "Chicken run"'s turned into a joke here but I think you can take something from that. In all films and games the makers try to make it realistic (not realistic realistic but believable-ish....if you know what i meanÃ,  ???). For instance, exaggerating is ok....but a normal man doesn't pick up cars..

Like someone said before, it seems unlikely a freed turkey would wage war on seagulls. I reckon you could pull this off, but it would take a lot of work and in the end it'd be a complete failure or some would love it and the rest hate it. Not a genre with many in betweens.

Oh and please use a spell/grammar checker for the game  ;) not saying my spelling or grammar is perfect but yours sucks, no offence  :P
