Talk to the dog about everything. Then talk to Yoke about everything. Then go to the alleyway where the bum lives, and talk to the cat until he leaves. Go back to the farm, and the dog and Yoke should run off. At least I think that's what it was, my memory is awful.

Have you put all three bowls down by the cirlce? If not, read the book again to see what you need to fill the remaining bowls with, and place them by the cirlce.

Put Tiffany in the circle (this is how I played it, but I guess you can also do it the opposite way.) As Tim, open/close the book. Then hover over the passage with the magic words, and click 'talk' on it.

You need to make his wife think he hasn't been attending to his duties (speak to her, and find out the one and only thing she ever expects him to do...). As for the crow, yes, you do need to do something with him, something you do inside the store will affect him.

There are some drawers in the mansion's kitchen which only Tim can reach. Have Tim use his special power on these drawers and you'll have no problem finding the bowls.

To get the rat down;

You first need an object that can pry the window open.....have you got the TV ariel ? Then one on the twins has a power that will enable them to reach the window.

As for the book and bowls;

You should of read in the diary upstairs that there is a certain page number in the big book that is relevant. When you have that number place the bowls on the circle in the right order, stand one of the twins in the circle and get the other twins to read the relevent page out of the big book. Et voila.

At the beginning of the game (after the initial phone call), I leave the office, and THE GAME FREEZES on the black & white picture of the Walters & Walters Private Investigators screen (with the coat hanger).  I don't have sound... is it a 5 minute musical interlude that I'm not patient enough for?  Is it a bug?...  HELP PLEASE!  It looks like a fun game!

Yes the opening credits display over that screen.  I believe that they are timed to the music, so you might have trouble if the sound is disabled.
