C&C: Indiana Jones, Background

Well, while ago I tried to make 'Fate of Atlantis' styled background. It came out pretty good, so I decided to try to make an game version of the first Indiana Jones movie: Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Here's what I'v archieved this far, the title screen (it will scroll down when game starts). Tell me if you like this pic and if you do, do you think I should continue on this project.

It looks very nice. The trunks of the trees look very large in comparison to the leaves. Heres an example.



I really like this style and I would continue with an Indy game of some sort.

You can see a blue outline around the trees from where you added the clouds separately. You could just make that colour paler and get away with it.

Vel is right, Lucasfan is contemplating making this, and judging by the poll, he is going to. On the other hand, its not as if you stole the idea from him so I wish you luck, that bg is really good, one of the best LEC emulations I've seen.

Actually, I started making a version of this myself a while  back - I just made the Peruvian Temple and the Hovitos, Belloq stuff - as a test - I always wanted to make this game! 

I certainly think you should continue on - your title screen looks excellent!  Now, let's see what a game screen could look like!

Thanks everybody. I didn't know that LucasFan worked on a same kind of project. Isn't he the guy who made New Adventures of ZakMcKraken, and Maniac Mansion Deluxe?

This is really cool. Ã, I am a REAL fan of FoA. Ã, This art is awesome. Ã, If i was a better artist I would ask to join your team.

The bright outlines of the rocks don't look so good. I would eliminate them or adjust them according to light sources (bright only on the upper sides).

This looks really cool, but I think you should use a lighter colour for the small writing at the bottom. Right now the black letters are very hard to read in front of the brown and green of the trees. So just in case you want that copyright note to be readable, I'd suggest to change the colour 
Other than that, really good. I'd love to play a game with this kind of graphics.

Well.. I'v made a big decision..





NO! No, no, noooo.. I'm not gonna stop working on this, or well.. kind of, I guess. I'm not gonna tell any more, but you can see from this pic, which I'v been working on, that this isn't from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

well then i can tell you that its looking quite excellent so far. keep up the good work. so far its fitting in very well with the expected art style of an indy game.
