Yes I know you were all interested in Skytower Rescue... but I have some good news and bad news... the good news is... I am still working on it... the bad news is, I have to start over...

Looks like my wife never updated my virus scan and did checks on my box while I was gone... my machine was so riddled.... well put it this way... I had to burn the entire box to get rid of them all... which means I lost all of my AGS stuff.. including my art... I would have backed up the art on CD's however, the virus's found their way on the burned CD's as well... so I lost everything... so basically I'm starting over from scratch... which means... well it will be awhile...

But hey... at least I'm home....

Nacho

Mmmm... A little breakdown of people takes it in this sesible way... You must be very happy to be in home!

Glad to see you're not too pissed... The game will be better that the original... Go on.

And my condolences...  :-\
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

HillBilly

I'm so sorry to hear that.  :(

I don't get why people make software to destroy other people's stuff.

it's because they're either sad pathetic people with no friends, hate microsoft, use linux or think it's funny.
well, i'd like to see how funny they'd find me setting them on fire or injecting viruses into them.
when i first got my new pc (win2k), within a few minutes of me connecting to the internet i got 127 viruses, ironically i was downloading norton anti-virus updates and a firewall at the time...
i only run a virus scan about once every when i can be bothered, my firewall seems to give me enough protection, and i only really download torrents which are mostly virus free...

Preach it, I know a guy who is like that. The reason is that he thnks that by hacking and/or destroying people's work makes him become superior to them.

Sorry to hear about it, Alynn... but hey, you're back! That still counts as a plus!

You know there is a cure for virii (plural for virus-ya learn something new every day ;)): it's called BUYING A MACINTOSH. It may be a big investment, but it's worth it, my (well, technically my dads) never gets viruses (I mean, virii  :P). Since there's no way you can be without AGS, you'll need a copy of Virtual PC, though. *sigh*

But still, it's worth it, and you should do it as long as you're not some sort of starving poet or something. Just save up lots of money, and then you're good.
Now let's find out if gasoline is flammable!

MAC = POS

Seriously, I wouldn't touch a mac if my life depended on it... They are only good for one thing and one thing only, heavy graphic/video editing... other than that they blow.

Harsh but more or less adequate.  If I were a gfx/video tech and not a PC tweaker, I'd go Mac all the way.  More stable but less options.  It's sort of like a person buying a new Mustang.  Sure, it's nice and fast but I can customize my '65 Mustang and soup it up until it blows the newer one to sh__.

The only reason that Mac's don't get viruses as often is that they're less common ergo less interest by coders. It also means there are less users available to post security hole information.  This incongruity is partially as a result of Mac's near-extinction awhile back.  They've only recently begun to climb in popularity again, particularly in a home-appliance setting.

Sorry to hear about your PC devastation, Alynn, hopefully the second go-round is even better.

(Side note: virii was a pluralized term made popular mainly by 1337-slang types, it circled about in hacking/coding circles for awhile but was never actually a real word)

Heathen.

No, just kidding. Just as long as you don't LOVE Windoze. Those are lost hopes.Ã,  Of course, one thing Windows does have for it is that AGS actually runs on it.Ã,  :D Mac porting's not gonna happen soon (and actually having it happen at all is wishful thinking).

Well... you DO learn something new every day. ;)

Well, the good thing, this allows me to change how I'm doing things... I'm getting away from the whole Sierra Gui thing. Going with a single click interface with a one line inventory at the bottom of the screen. Already did the cursor icons.. and coded up the rep_ex to change the cursor depending on what you are over... just gotta get the fonts I want loaded up and I can start with the artwork again...

which involves emailing my friends and seeing if they still have the sprites and things I sent them for critiques
