help with character face

hi people

first of all you must forgive for my english

and now here's my problem:
I'm creating an adv-game about some parts of my life and i want to use my friends as characters, but problem is i don't know how to draw them. I mean i know how to draw them

their cadaver, legs, arms.., but i have problem with their faces.
I've tried to use their photos and correct them in photoshop but it's useless, they still don't look like game characters

and you know i'm not such a good painter to paint their faces on my own

but if there's no other way......
Anyway, if someone knows how can i figure it out, i will be very thankful to this man

cause this is my primary problem, other things like backgrounds and scripts looks fine.

We can't help you with more specific information... Resolution of the game, style, the pallete you want to use...

If you post something (even if you think it look awfull) you've done that would help a lot, to know where is your style aiming for.

This, made by ProgZmax, will help you. I must say that I have it in my hard drive along with Eric's templates and I allways pop it up when drawing sprites, a must have reference for low res sprites.

there is no specific "way" that game characters have to look. You could make it a comedy game with photo cutouts of your friends and photographs as backgrounds. But I second Farlander. Post some art of yours and the critics lounge can help you improve it.

Ok, here goes...
My game resolution is 640x480, style...like this
and here's my tryings about how mine characters faces must be...
Original and result

I want the result to be more "graphical"... More "non identical" to original...
to be more some sort "cartoon like"....
How can i get this result?

I think those pictures are a bit too big for use in a game. If you want to make a game using pictures of your friends, here is a tutorial that you may find helpful.
