Concept background, road to sunset

Not much to say. It's a bit empty at the moment, but I like the deserted atmosphere.
The lights are there to add some surrealism to it.



Pen tablet and photoshop, some custom brushes, no filters.

I am not the greatest of critic, but there is one thing that stands out is the lighting. Something about it doesn't seem to fit to me, everything seems to static and solid..it may be a particular art style, but seems somewhat awkward....Another thing is the tree's placing on the hill, it's stance and level for being placed on the side of the hill. maybe make the roots more spread out, give the tree an older feel, maybe to help solve that problem.

* road gets too thin for such a small distance. Look at the y- coordinates for tree and road -- even BEFORE passing the tree, road is already extra thin and "far away". this looks so wrong.
* hanging lights don't light anything...  and you should put more glow to them
* color coice is quite excellent, and so is overall amtosphere
* where's the sunset?
* sky talks about cloudy and rainy weather. why not add puddles to the road? water drops to the leaves? wet look to everything?

Well, technically there are some minor quirks which have been mentioned already, but atmospherically I think this image looks fantastic.

I'm not sure, but maybe you could add more of a horizon. Like something on the hill to show how far away it might be or something to fill in the gap between the hills in the distance, say another hill.

I like the way that the main light source is coming from the top of the hill, gives a nice feel.
