Secret code in KQ4?

I just finished playing Kings Quest 4. Finally. After about seven years of trying.

Anyway, at the end of the game a text box popped up saying "Your Secret Code is: RA8N?;5H;.JD"

Does anyone know what this is? It's got me quite confused.

Let's see, I believe it was some ancient contest where you had to mention this code to Sierra and get a discount for one of their other products, or something. It's long outdated by now, so don't worry about it. The interesting secret code in KQIV is 'beam me'.

Correct, but it's well worth it. Actually what you should do is google KQIV screenshots, and you'll probably find the beam area.

Now that we're on the subject of KQ4... I never had any trouble with that game and got up to the point where you have to go up a long staircase and past a ... goblin or something, into another door. I could - NEVER - EVER - get past that goblin thing! I just ended up giving up on the game, walkthroughs just said to "Go through the door". Did anyone else ever have this problem?

You're heading the wrong way. You can't get past the goon. You should first go

Thanks, I'll give that a try ^_^ I swear, I read more than one walkthrough and they just said "Go through the door" with no mention of going up the other tower or anything. It's been years and years, hopefully my old save game is still there...
