help with missing since midnight

So far all I have is light bulb and boots. I have talked to owner who told me to find cleaning lady to get key to missing guys room. I talked to her through the laundry chute but can't get her to give me key. How do you get into cellar?  Where did you get metal box and money and bucket? Have been outside no luck with garage and he won't go into the forest.  Robot thing - haven't seen any robot thing

If you give the maid your wallet through the chute, she will leave the locked door open for you, after she cleans it.  Also, you will need to mix the bucket of water with something else you can pick up in the closet.  Use it in the kitchen to get ride of the owner/cook

Where is the wallet? When I took my jacket out of the closet, it didn't show up in inventory, is that where the wallet is? I did pick up the boots in there and they are in inventory, what happened to jacket? he did say he was taking it but I don't have it

I definitely don't have my smart hat on today, I looked in my inventory again and couldn't see jacket so clicked on what looked to me like an empty square and lo and behold that was the jacket so I got money and talked to cleaning lady, now I am roaming around trying to find Freds room. I know where everybody elses room is but can't find Freds.  Where is it?

you get the water from the kitchen taps, use the cleaning stuff you got in closet with water, use that on floor and the cook will slip and fall. Thats as far as I have got, I filled my bucket up again with water, don't know if I was supposed to do that but can't empty it again so I presume it has to be used somewhere. When you try to combine the boots and bucket of water it says something like they can't go in whole, so I am assuming you have to cut them? tried cutting them on the bread slicer that didn't work. Maybe you will get further than me.

I was able to slice up the boots on the slicer.  You should try that again.  I can't find the protein source for the fuel recipe.  Can someone give me a hint for that?
