Well, this year is the 20th anniversary of Back to the Future and I just got a DVD of the trilogy, so I thought I'd bring up the subject. What do you have to say about the movie?

Subtopic:
You know you've watched Back to the Future too much when...

1. You keep crashing into manure trucks for no particular reason.
2. You watched the Lord of the Rings for the sole reason that the kid from the cafe in the second movie is the star (obscure).
3. You experience deja vu every day.

More please!

On a side note, if you plan to purchase the DVD set, be sure to get the corrected version:

I already purchased the DVD, and I'm afraid I didn't get the corrected version; I don't particularly care that much about it, to tell you the truth.

The question is... If you take a close look at those screenshots, Just what is the "Doctor" reaching for ?  :o
"Marty, there... ahhh, seems to be something sticking out of your McFly, errr, Fly, ummm, here, let me help you."
Hehehe..

Well, it's been ages since I seen any of those "Back to the Future" movies, but they were fun to watch. However, out of the bunch, I probably enjoyed the first movie of that series the most.
Conan: "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!"
Mongol General: "That is good."

Okay, I'll try:

4. You build elaborate models of your entire town in a matter of hours, down to the last detail, and still apologize for it not being to scale.

5. At pizza hut, you give your compliments to the chef on how well he can hydrate a pizza

6. You spend hours online trying to procure a subscription to "Oh La La"

I picked this particular example because it actually ruins the scene.

If you remember, Doc gives him that fancy jacket and Marty complains that the sleeves are too long. Doc reaches for a button on the jacket and the sleeves adjust themselves.

Another example is in BTTF3 when you see Marty for the first time in his cheesy cowboy outfit and in the uncorrected versions you don't see his modern sneakers.

7. When you are constantly looking for the best buy offer for the DeLorean on eBay, regarding the fact that you cant even afford repairs/gas for your current vehicle.

I still can't believe that the DeLorean flopped after having a starring role in such great movies.

8. When you are always konking folks on the head saying, "HELLO! McFly!"
9. When you try and fuel your car up with a banana peel and some leftover beer.

Oh man these movies are the best.

DeLorean flopped due to the involvement of drug money.
At least, thats what I was told.

I live in Belfast (where the DeLoreans were made) but I've never seen one outside of BTTF. (Although there was a shop called "trotter's independant traders" but I think they got sued).

Those movies are the best. I love time travel movies but these ones especially due to the fact that he revisits the dance hall in at least 2 different movies, and you get to see both McFlys at once doing different things.

10. When you stamp "Mr Fusion" on your car's engine.
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

im one of the biggest bttf nerds you can find.

there are at least 3 deloreans within just a couple miles of my house. im actually trying to buy the one for sale.

to see if you have the corrected version, look on disc 2&3 along the outer edge with writing and it will say V2 if it is the corrected ones. i had to send in my disks to get the replacements, and they are still offering the free return offer.

i also hang out here: www.bttf.com

and  i bought my lenticular hat too. i could talk about bttf all day and the errors with time travel and its possibilities.... but i wont.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Aside from the neato upward-opening doors, the design of the  DeLorean did not appeal to me. It looks like the exhaust design was inspired by a space shuttle.

What I like most about BTTF are the bounties of memorable dialog. Almost every line from the movies, especially the first, is fun to quote at times. Which reminds me:

11. You frequently end sentences with the words: "Unless you have power!"

12. You think the future sports almanac scheme would work in theory, but begin to ponder if using it would effect the timeline, and when it will start to be inaccurate.

The guy that created the car was addicted to drugs and the majority of the money that funded the car came from heroin sales that he had made.

Some of my dad's friends worked in the plant assembling Deloreans...
And I remember rushing across the road from home to a car showroom where they had one of the first cars off the line. That stainless steel sure took fingerprints well!
