I think I'll name him Bubscrub Tudypine

haha.

So I had a small sketch lying around that I did of guybrush, I dunno I must of just been bored in a coffee shop somewhere.

Yesterday I scanned it and realized I could shade it fairly quicky by turning down the opacity in the layers with color- and that would bring out my pencil shading.

I'm sure this is a typical way to shade.  I only just realized yesterday.  It's not done, the boots really bother me- and I have no plan for him.

I'd kind of like to see him animated with that crazy walk he had in Revenge of LeChuck.

if you're using photoshop... instead of lowering the opacity, change the layer blending mode from, 'Normal' to, 'Multiply'. wowza!

and btw, it looks great, try making it low res and pixeling it.

Stu, I hopped on Photoshop and gave it a shot, and it just seemed to bring out the balck outline.

I appreciate the tip in general, I'm just not sure if I prefer the outlines for this one.  Altho it is tempting to draw a background for "Bubscrub" just to see...

here's a tip on coloring:
if you start with a black outline drawing, when you go to color it, set your brush to 'darken'.  that way it won't affect anything darker than it, and since black is the darkest color there is, the black outlines will remain untouched.
