How can I promote my finished game?

Distribution?

Publishing?

Making Money?

Good Links?

Other Ideas?

Umm... You could start by posting your game in the "Completed Games Forum".  I suppose that would be a start.

You could also make some banners and post them in your signature.

Maybe, if your game is good enough, people will host your game and recommend it to others...

As far as making money, I know nothing about that... I'm just a janitor.

The best way is to make the game really good, and it will distribute itself. Otherwise just use your imagination, create a website, get some good reviews from JA and Underdogs, etc.
Just don't hype! It's bound to backfire.

As for making money, that's a whole different ballpark. It will have to be extraordinary well made, with no bugs whatsoever, with an extensive game length, innovative puzzles and an original story. Everything has to be top-notch.

You will have to find a company that creates CD's for you, and set up a good payment system. If you don't deliver properly, you run the risk of getting sued.

Note that when you enter the world of "commercialism", you'll have to expect that the demands and expactations on your product will be much higher, the reviews will be much harsher, and you will recieve less support from the AGS community (unless you pay a lot of people to help you with trouble-shooting, beta-testing, etc). Just a word of warning.

I have a post for "The Quest To Zooloo" on the "Completed Games Forum":

Thanks, I'll make a banner. :)

How do I get people to host my game?

My game is very high quality.
How long does it take to distribute itself?

How do I get sites to review the game?

Making money:
The game is extraordinary & well made, it is a long game, it has innovative puzzles,
and a original story.
There may be a few bugs left, but If I need to, I can work hard and find them.
And I can allso make any polishing that the company asks for.
I think the game is top-notch except for maybe the unpercise walkbehinds. (which allso isn't a big problem to fix)

How do I find a good company that creates CD's for me with a good payment system?

Can my game be comercial game and a freeware game?
cuz I allways will want to provide a free download...

If it really is good, it will get noticed. Make a website of something for it, and WAIT. If it's good enough, a company will contact you about selling it commercially. If it's hosted somewhere now, and the host can be trusted not to be down all the time, there's no hurry in getting mirrors just yet. People will provide you with mirrors, eventually, or if your site suffers from high traffic you might post an announcement in the game's thread about the need of a mirror, SOMEONE will host it...

Just be patient.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time
