new style for my second room!

Hello everybody,
Here a room I made using not only my ol' paint but another style,
Its not finished yet but I tried to create a creepy ambiance. I must admit I'm pretty happy with my 'cartoony' shading even if its wrong at some places. It is supose to be a school corridor.

What do you guys/girls think about it ? Any comment, tips, crictism will be appreciatedÃ,  .

This is a room with great potential but serious issuses. I would do a paint-over but I kinda suck at this style. Here are a few pointers.

A. The light on the floor from the windows in the door are about twice too big

B. There is way to much contrast in the walls/shadows... Try to keep the colors pretty close to the same

C. The lock and chain do-not seem to match the style at all try to make it more cartoon-ish

Ill fix the light later but here I tried to make the chain and the lock more cartoon-ish and I tried to fix the contrast hope you like that one  !

I actually think that the first image is the better of the two. But there are still some issues. If the major light source is comming from the window, then I would add some dark spots on the right side like you've drawn, darken the wall with the doors in it, and fix the shading on the locker doors.



Edit: I thought a visual may be needed. Just a breif example.

What evil said. Doesn't it say in the rules not to post BMPs? If it doesn't, just as a general pointer, please don't.

There are plenty of free programs out there, such as the Gimp, which can convert files for you. Make use of them.

He's not posting .bmp's as images but URLs..  still preferred to avoid .bmps but people at least have a choice about loading it up.  It's right in the link-line so it's quite optional.

That wasn't exactly what I meant but the chain looks better. Evil's paint-over embodies what I was thinking of.

Okay I don't want to start a debate here about bitmaps images, it would ruin this topic so from now on ill post gif images only. Here's what ive done with the room :

-Darkned the wall with the door on it
-Darkned the door
-Fixed the shadow on the locker doors

Thats so much better! I think there needs to be grills or combination locks on the lockers, they look way to plain and empty.

I decided to create a litle webpage wich I will post my pictures on it, when ill get more stuff on it ill post it in the 'in production' forum but for now tell me what you guys think of the pictures.
