hi,
I'm starting a new game called "realistic joe".
It's the story of a guy who is stupid, with no talent, no friends (only 2), no girlfriend,  very few money.
he works in the research and development sector of a sugar factory: the sugar haven't changed for ages, and he almost have nothing to do all the day.
He needsto change his life, make it better. maybe change his job.
the purpose is to find the most funny and stupid way to find money, friend, girlfriend...etc...

I need some talented people, with a lot of humor, and good ideas to help me.
here is the first screenshot:

I need help in my game. I'm in need of a sprite. It needs to be an Ankheg popping out of the ground. Can someone do this for me? I am in desperate need of it. If anyone needs a picture of an Ankheg, I have one. Just give me your email address so I can send it to you. Mine is storycatchermike@yahoo.com.

Etcher Squared Games

Hey musicians,

I'm looking for a "jingle" to go with my logo screen.  I have an idea of what I want it to sound like, but I don't know how well I can describe it.

It's just one note, from a bass guitar with an echo-ish sound to it and it fades away as it goes..
so imagine hitting the note and then just letting it go to slow fade.  I'm thinking the note last about 5 or 6 seconds.

The closest thing I can think of as to what it sounds like....if you have played Mortal Kombat I, it's sorta of the note you hear when you do a successful Fatality, but I don't want as scary of a note.

My current avatar to the left is my logo, and this is where the music will be played.  It will come into view, then the note is played.

I have no music background so I have no idea what "key" what "note" what minor/major it needs to be in....I just know once I get the right note or whatever.....

PM me if you think you can provide something
credits will be given in every game if you so desire.

thank you

I'm searching for voice actors for my game Caribbean Mysteries. It's a pirate comedy game in Monkey Island-esque kind of humor (It was meant to be a kind of parody of MI but became sort of it's own). It's about a young man called Torleif Shufflefoot and his pet monkey Crispy who land on an island called Touché Island. There they find about a legendary treasure called The LeDrake treasure that is said to be the biggest treasure in the world, that is said to contain a big magic power that can make it's bearer do whatever he wants. Torleif decides to search for the treasure to make his pirate career a lot better but what he doesn't know yet that the search for the treasure will lead him to the love of his life, Leslie Quality, the island's Governor's daughter, and face the most evil pirate of the Seven Seas, Captain Pepe "Pepperoni" Roni, who wants to get the treasure in order to take over the world.

So far I only need voices for 4 different charaters for the demo version of game (the finished game will have around 50 characters in total).

Here's some short fact of the characters that will be featured in the game that needs voices (one character is not included because that character will be voiced by myself):

Torleif Shufflefoot

He's the hero of the game. Have recently been gratiuated a pirate course but had a bad start of his pirate career resulting him been marooned on a island. However he made a raft of old shipwrecks and timber from the island and sailed away. Torleif and his pet monkey floats around the sea for days until they discover Touché Island where they find out about the Legendary LeDrake treasure. Torleif is clever and funny but he can never play a tuba right, he can only make fartnoises with those. I want Torleif to sound a bit Guybrush Threepwood esque.

Sampleline: "Hi, I'm Torleif Shufflefoot and I'm looking for the LeDrake treasure."

Crispy the Monkey
Torleif's pet. He is a good friend and very helpful to Torleif. He is very smart so you can get his help with almost anything (even at cooking). Sometimes he tends not to do anything unless you pay him (mostly bananas or other fruit). Unlike Torleif he can play a tuba very good and is very proud of it.

Captain Pepe "Pepperoni" Roni

The meanest, baddest and most evil pirates of the Seven Seas. He wants get the LeDrake treasure so he and his men can take over the world. One thing that annoys him is when people mispronounce his name (which almost eveybody tend to do except for his first mate Mr. Smile) because his name is very similiar to "pepperoni". For his voice I would like him to sound a lot like LeChuck from the MI-series except not undead (Pepperoni is a living mortal pirate unlike LeChuck).

Sampleline: "Now that we have Leslie Quality in our hands, nothing is going to stop us from getting the LeDrake treasure."

Burga: Voice actor found!

Chief: Voice actor found!

Princess Trinidad: Voice actress found!

Guard

A quite strict guard who have the task of not letting anyone in the native village. He takes his job very seriously but he prefer not to hurt anyone. Torleif need to get past him if he wants to talk to the Chief, Princess Trinidad and Burga. For his voice I want him to sound like a strict guard with a little tingle of native accent.

Sample line: "I'm sorry, but I can't let you in, no matter what."

Old lady

Just a nice old lady who likes go shopping. She have a very strange problem, she's always afraid to cross the roads in case of cars will run over her (even though there are no cars on Touché Island). When she was younger she was a elementary school teacher and Pepe Roni was one of her pupils.
I want her to sound like a very nice and sweet grandmother.

Sample line: "You're welcome young man."

Hypnotizer: Voice actor found!

Tourist Centrist: Voice actor found!

The skull: Voice actor found!

Mr. Smile: Voice actor found!

Fred Widebutt: Voice actor found!

Ole Bergensen: Voice actor found!

Randall Rustbeard - Voice actor found!

Antonio De Alto: Voice actor found!

Barnacle Barney: Voice actor found!

Jack Swallow: Voice actor found!

ADDED: Note: Some time after I posted this I discovered that I missed pointed out one of the characters so I'll add one here.

French Waiter

He runs a gourmet resturant called the Fine Fish in Publo Puequeño. He is not only the waiter and owner of this place, he is also a cook and a disher that can handle such tasks by himself. Many customers come to this place and his best custumor, Angus McArthur, is the one who the other customers follow so they all love the waiter's fine food. I want the waiter to sound like he's born in french so he talks english with a very strong french accent (like Captain Rottingham in CMI or Raoul in Grim Fandango).

Sampleline: What can I do for you, monsieure?

Well, that's all of them. If you're interested PM me and I'll give you my e-mail to send the voice-samples to. No need to hurry, the demo version of the game is still under counstruction (the story and puzzles are finished it's just programming, animation and some backgrounds left).

deadsuperhero

Right...I need a bg artist, several voice actors, some sprite artists, a guy who can make a decent website, some beta testers, some scripters, a puzzle guy, a forum guy, an advertising guy, and several other people, including a musician.
This is all for the new Peasant's Quest VGA game I'm doind, and I seriously need some help.
Cheers

Hey everyone, I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to whip up a couple of GUIs for my game, Prodigal. Check it out in the AGS games in production forum! I basically need a save and a load GUI created, and possibly an options window with speed and volume controls. I have all the graphics already done, so it would basically be just the coding.

I tried to make 'em myself, but I keep getting weird bugs, and the more I tried to fix them, the more messed up they got...

If you would be willing to help, could you email me at:

real_trisk@yahoo.com

Thanks a million!

Hey everyone. I need someone to help with creating my game dialogue. I dont mind if you change the story to fit my game. My game is Hang's Revenge . I havnt done much on this game so dont worry about anything. The story is about a pirate captain (Hang Greenwood) whose crewmates turn him in to the police. the game is set aound Hang repaying his debt to society as well as hunting down his former crewmates. the 1% of the game i have done so far can be found here. i will be behind all animation and pics including the GUI. At the moment I'm using the Default GUI while i create my own. I would like to make a team of "first timers" for my game.

Thanks a lot,

p.s if any other first timers were to help in any other way it would be greatly appreciated.

Sprite animators are needed for "Bestowers of Eternity"!

Progress on this game is moving ahead slowly but surely, and we are in need of some more sprite animators to speed things along.  We currently have a system in place where one person designs the sprites and someone else animates them.  This has worked out well because we are able to keep the style consistent while having more than one animator work on the game.

If anyone out there is willing or able to animate sprites in this style, please drop me a line.

Keep in mind we are only looking for sprite ANIMATORS.  We are not looking for designers at this stage.  Thanks!

Hello everyone.

Just signed up about 2 minutes ago so you've some fresh newb to play with :)

Getting to the point; I've started toying around with AGS trying to make my own game and I think I have a good idea of how to use the program, however I'm just not up for making 3 or 4 small games so get the feel of making games.

I've got a very thin storyline and few backgrounds [Grand total of 2]

I'm basically looking for someone to brainstorm with [preferably on MSN] and someone to give me opinions on my drawings, story and so on - It gets extremely frustrating mulling over the same ideas again and again, so I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks :)

I'm looking for artists for my new game Legend of four castles (title is still in production) If you are interested go to http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=21098.0 for more information.

QuoteLegend of four castles
Life working in a museum with scientists and historians can be interesting at times. It is about to get very interesting when the main character (Franco) hears about a legendary symbol hidden in a castle sealed with 3 elemental locks, which can be opened by keys hidden in three other castles. This symbol will make the museum the most popular tourist attraction in the city as the symbol is said to contain a huge power which can give the possessor an ultimate power that can be used to take over the world. Of course there is no truth to the legend... right? It turns out that someone wants that power to rule the world so getting the symbol isn't going to be easy. It is up to Franco and his colleague, Jane, to get to the symbol before anyone else.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen

I'm currently looking for a sprite drawing / animating person supreme!

I am planning to do an episodic series of adventure games, similar to the Ben Jordan games. The game will be based in a fictional town, based off Miami in the 80s (yes, like Vice City in GTA :D :P).

This is a mock-up image, an idea of what I'd like the game to look like and little or nothing is final. The character used is a modified Indiana Jones from Fate of Atlantis, but offers a pretty good idea of what I would like the main character to be like. Pastel coloured suit and a mullet haircut :D.

A list of what I may require:

  • Characters
  • Animations
  • Objects (can do some of these myself)
  • Inventory Items (can do some of these myself)
  • Possibly some GUI design (can do some of these myself)

Even though the games will be released free to download as most AGS games are, this will be a paid position (Sorry, not a great deal, i'm a student, but it's an incentive eh?)

If you would like to help, you can PM me on the forums or email me at lechuck@gmail.com , It'd be great if you could have an example of your work or a mock image for the main character in your message, but that is by no means necessary.

Thanks for reading!

Hi!

Any victim...erm...volunteers to test my game? If I don't get rid of the bugs I won't have the patience to work on animations/music/sounds/speech... (yes, they are still missing).

If you feel like trying, PM me and I 'll send you the link.
Thanks

game master

I need someone to help make backgrounds for a new game i'm making. they need to be medieval like drawings. I would be indebted to whoever can help. I would somehow put you in the game.

Mogus

 Hey folks,
I'm not sure where to post this and this seemed like the most suitable place.

I am currently writing the script for a new adventure game I plan to have developed.

Plot: You control a group of 4 budding musicians as they complete tasks and solve puzzles during their pursuit of a record label deal. A comedic adventure in the style of the GREAT Maniac Mansion.

The game is meant to be as commercial as possible in terms of graphic and gameplay quality.

I am currently looking for help in the development of this game.

I need the following people:
Talented Character Creator
Background Creator
Animator
AGS Skilled Individual to put it all together in game form.

I can pay for help if you have the right skills, examples of your work and the amount of pay desired.
I am open to either straight pay, smaller up front pay with profit sharing (the goal is to create a shareware title to be distributed through the web, I have contacts with a national gaming network I could get the game featured on). Also list your available time to work on the project.

I need serious people to apply, not fly by night people who lose interest in 3 days.
You will not be paid up front for work due to this reason. A fee will be agreed upon prior to you starting and you will be paid upon completion of the project. Contracts will be used if needed. I have no problem with that.

If you are interested in taking part in this project and or have any advice to offer, please feel free to post here and or email me at mogusland@hotmail.com

Thank you.

CoffeeBob

Hello!

I am in need of a sprite ANIMATOR for Bob Smith: The Mystery Case. What I need is an animator who can do walk-cyckles, gun drawing, bending-down-and-picking-up and some other small animations.
Right now, there's only one character that needs animation, but there will be more work later. ;)

I'd also like a voice actor for the narrator in the game. Here's a test line:
"Well, Bob, it looks like you've gone WAY over your head this time."
I want the narrator to sound something like the narrator in SQ4 n' 6, but a little bit more serious.

Thanks for taking your time to read this message.

Hello!

I'm in need of a painter to paint in some hand-drawn scanned backgrounds for our King's Quest III project.  If you are interested, PM me and from there I can work out more details about the work.  This project is near completion, and this work is part of our finishing touches.  If you enjoy Sierra VGA style games, and would like to help out, please send me a PM.
