My partner in designing seems out of contact so I have to either draw my own BG outlines or stop working. So here is what I've got.

:P

This is the inside of the bunker from my previous post. The purple things are suppose to be lights. I really suck at drawing Bg but I can work them into good things once the thing is layed out. Please give me some feedback!

maybe a keybad or something near the door

* The door has wrong perspective. At this height, it's top line should be almost or fully horizontal(sp?)

* The bunker itself looks a bit too high. Were bunkers so high buildings? From movies, soliders could rarely stand fully up, since the low ceiling ???

* Also, there's huge amount of floor area. You could evacuate whole town into so large bunker :D

So I suggest to keep it a bit smaller.

And, the line where two walls meet -- flip it, so you could achieve rounded walls effect correctly.

A keypad would make no sense because the game is Indiana jones, no keypad would be invented yet.

As for the bg, shrink it down a bit, it's too tall for an indy character to fit in, add some stuff like tables and lamps, I don't think actual wall lights would be present.

more to come when i get home, perhaps and edit.
Bye bye thankyou I love you.

You might want to start with coloring the walls.

Making graphics is no easy task, so it might take a while until you develop enough skills to create perfection. Until that, you might want to cheat ;D Instead of straight lines that give away perspective flaws, it could be better to use free-drawn, non-straight lines. Creating a bg a day will soon give results even you couldn't wait.

So, back to drawing board. Practice makes perfect, etc.

Look up some basic perspective tutorials, then maybe color the room and before you even start a room, plan whats going to be in it....Look around at rooms you see everyday, they ussaully have something in t hem that might be interesting...

Good luck..

That was just a reference pic it wasn't meant to be realistic or anything. I redid it without the lights, resized, and correct colors. I also added a table with radio. Its definiatley not finished.

Before you do anything else, you should correct the perspective.

Every area that's parallel to the screen can be drawn "normally". In this case that would be the back wall and the front of the radio.

All lines that "go into" the screen (top of the door, where left wall meets ceiling/ground) meet at a so called vanishing point, if they are parallel in a 3D way. (like the top of the door and the lines of the left wall.)

Now if you look at the table, you can see four additional lines that are "3D-parallel" to the mentioned ones.
The left and right side of the table are obvious.
The other two lines aren't. But if you connected the lower ends of the left two and then the right two legs, you'd have another pair of lines. These four as well as the three former ones have to meet at one single point, the vanishing point.
Right now, the legs back at the wall are longer than the closer ones, suggesting that the table is angled.

The wooden thing on the ground is wrong, too, cause the far end is wider although it's farther away.
Hope it helps.

I textured that wall and i'm quiet happy but I still cant find a way for the table. It just doesn't work. A paintover for table would be appreciated greatly!!!!

Here:

You should consider moving the vanishing point more towards the middle, too.

MarVelo

I removed the table for now because I will have my partner help me some other time with that. I think the room is fine besides that. Thanks for your help though everyone.
