I used to have a Wacom A5 which I rarely used as I mostly do small scale pixeling. Now I feel like trying my hands with a tablet again and thus I am looking for something inexpensive that will do the job and not break down after a week. I'm looking for an A5 tablet, and I've been checking out some products from Trust. Has anyone here used a Trust tablet? Any other tablets I should consider?

I must admit that I'm very happy with the Medion A4 tablet which I got for something like 45 US$. Obviously it's not the quality of a Wacom, but it gets the job done - and frankly I'd felt rather foolish if I'd paid several times that for a tiny brand name tablet.

I don't know if they sell them outside Europe though.

I had one of these medion tablets too. It worked great for about 3 years. Still works, with some minor hiccups. I paid about 40 Euros for it, not bad at all! I'm using a Wacom A4 tablet now, but they're really expensive.

I found a cheap medion tablet on ebay:

Alright! Thanks. I might be going for a Wacom Graphire after all. The A5 model is not that expensive.

Or you could try getting a used Vacom Volito. I have one in A5 and it takes a beating! I've dropped that pen a large number of times and it hasn't taken any damage.

What exactly is the cheapest Wacom series? Volito, Graphire, or...?

Graphire seems to be the cheapest set of Wacom tablets. I'm using an old, apparently no longer made version of the old Graphire, but it still works like a charm - small, perhaps, but still serviceable, and I've found a similar (possibly newer) model on e-bay for 15 dollars US (Here, as of 7.23). If you're looking to buy one new, the Graphire 3 4x5 series sells for about $100 US, which isn't too bad, especially compared to the $750 of the Intuos 12x18, or the 3K Cintiq which seems to be the top of the current line.
