Hey people! I just made a custom icon for my game using 'Paraben's Icon Builder' and named the file USER.ico and placed it in the compiled folder(like the AGS Guidebook told me). Then I started up the ags editor ,made sure it was making a windows executable and saved the game. Then I checked the icon was working but it was only the usual blue cup icon that made it work. >:(
Any help would be apprieciated! :)

Hm. You named it "USER.ico"? Try renaming it to "user.ico", just for the heck of it and see what happens... If AGS detects the custom icon, but it's the wrong colour depth of resolution or whatever, it (atleast in older versions, I'm not sure about 2.7) gave a warning about it, so if the game compiles just fine for you but the icon isn't there, it probably isn't detected by AGS at all...
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

Yes, I have this problem too.
I think AGS needs 16 colour (or possibly bit  :P ) icons, but whenever I saved my icons in any colour depth damn XP always bumped them up to 32 bit.
I don't know if this is significant, or if it's just me being silly.
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

It must be placed in the game folder, not the Compiled folder.

Thanks a lot Pumaman ;D. It worked when I put it in the main game folder as you said. But also thanks to Mr Flibble and Ishmael for your comments too :D.

Anyone know what color resolution is required for AGS custom icons?
