Need shading advice

Heres an unfinished character sheet from days past, I just stumbled over ags and it in a folder when I was cleaning out my computer.

Good to see you're still working on this. I was getting worried. I had a look at them at home before I left, so I'll crit from my memory, as all I get on this machine is "Hosted by Angelfire"

The characters are excellent. Mighty good. Maybe try adding a little more shadows to the mouth. All I can see right now is themouth going from 3x1 to 3x2. If you catch my drift? However I like what you've done with the bearded proffessory man. Excellent work my friend.

P.S Where did you disappear for 2 months? I was sad when I didn't see the Dancing Chapelle anymore.

I did an edit of one of them at random and added some shading.  On the left is the original and on the right is the edit
