Hi!
After 6 hours experiments i coudlnt solve my problem plus couldnt find reasonable solution yet. I have created some charachters inside MOHO and FLASH and converted them into PNG format but everytime they comes very very very bad with colours in AGS. So , i opend my photoshop and copy the image over new blank file one by one and then saved them again in new PNGs. This time i can see everything perfect butttt few part of my characters like Eyes and teeths colours are invisible ..... Is there any easy way to make everything right????I Am totally tired trying again and again into PNGs with different alpha channels and formating styles from PS but never works.... i tried Anti aliasing inside MOHO but still white lines are on the body.

Some PNG works fine without lines and some doesnt ...my config are 640x480 and i tried both 32 and 16 bit but always fail.

Is there any tool which can Open any PNG and then change PNG into clean fine cool, if yes then let me know.

Thanks in advance

what color depth have your set your game to? Its the first thing you are supposed to do when you start your game.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

This happens to me with transparent gif and I simply replace the missing colour with the nearest visible one in my image.

I am afraid that there is no easy solution to your problem. I guess every AGS beginer had the same (or similar) problem. The best way is to convert your image in Photoshop in indexed color and use as little colors as you can. Then be sure that all outside area is in same color, and that there is no same color on your sprite. I know it takes a lot of time, but there is no faster way :-(

Hey buddy, I feel your pain.  I'm working so far strictly with Paintshop Pro 7 and using MoHo by and large for my character animations, it took me *days* to figure out how to get it to work properly.  I'm also working in 640X480, 32 bit resolution just like you, with anti-aliased characters that look really spiffy and smooth.  It sounds like your problem might be that you're creating the characters in MoHo *first*, and then trying to move them into Photoshop.  I drew all my characters and their necessary separated body parts (for walkcycles, etc.) in Paintshop, using vector graphics mostly, with AntiAlias set to on.

I'd then use Paintshop's Export > PNG Optimizer function on the File Menu., set it to 24 Bit under the Colors tab, Alpha Channel and Existing Image under the Transparency tab, and hit OK to save my graphics as a PNG file.

Then I imported the Images into MoHo on separate layers in the same Project, importing an arm separately, a leg, the body, the head, etc.  They look really fuzzy and gross when they're just sitting on the work area, but select "Preview" or "Render" and you'll get to see them almost as good as the final product will be.  It's not quite as perfect as your original drawing, but the difference is extremely acceptable.

I don't know if this perfectly answers your question, or if Photoshop even has the same options as Paintshop does, but if you need help, feel free to e-mail me at look_upinthesky@yahoo.com, maybe we can figure it out together. :)  Good luck!

Hey friend,

Thanks for sharing your experiments , i have noted your email address and for sure ill be in contact with you online. :)

Here is what i am doing right now .. For main and cool charcater animation i am using MOHO because i think Main charcater should have better graphics and animation frames , also i am using MOHO for other special charcaters who have to move, work or respond physically alot...
But characters like who only can talk and dont need to physically move or work, for them i am using MAcromedia FLASH.

I firstly create My characaters using Flash editor or MOHO's and then i save their animation's frames in PNG format. Then i open all those charcater animations inside Photoshop and arrange them one by one in way of Sprites(Picture which contain all frames graphics) Picture  using transparent backgorund and using (24bit Png)  inside Photoshop.

Now when i open these sprites pictures inside AGS , charcater or sprites which are made on Flash comes very smooth and fine. While From Moho it always comes with side white leyars on every frame of character.

This is my story....IF my sprites became smoother then i am sure i can make a very cooool funny game like monkey island but problem always comes with whtishhh lines.

Thanks once again..
