Have you played Pester Quest? It would only take you about 4 minutes anyways, but in it, I talk about the AGS Games Factory, and some doors. You may get a kick out of the game.

I just tried it, so now I understand.  Yes, any resources you wish to contribute will be recieved with enthuasism.  We will do our best to include whatever  material you give us.

Hm...just a few quick comments:


  • When the terminal says "Access Denied", "Access" is misspelled.  (Also, despite its having said "Access Denied", the door opens anyway...but this may just be something that's intentionally left that way in the beta.)
  • Several inventory items (the doll, the book, and the horn) have descriptions that are spoken instead of appearing in text boxes.  This wouldn't be a problem, except that the dialogue appears behind the inventory window, which means that it's at least partly--and depending on where the PC is standing and how long the dialogue is possibly completely--hidden and unreadable.  (Again, though, since these inventory items don't seem to serve any purpose at the moment, maybe they're not going to be in the final version anyway.)

Rick, would you be happy with Beta 2 being released onto the AGS Website, or do you want to make further changes before that happens?

I think it would be ok to release beta to the website.   I think the script examples are pretty much complete, so Yeah, go ahead and make it available for everyone to use.

Thanks! Would you have any objection if I combined the source code of all the zip files into one to simplify the demo download?

Hi... I know you don't know who/where I am and such things, but I'm offering you sprite aid if you wish. I make lots of sprites everyday, and I've got skilled in drawing inventory items. Maybe this sounds interesting, and maybe it doesn't. If you want a sample of my work, don't hesitate to ask 8) .

I'm new to Ags, but as much as I've seen of it, it's been a great program!

Thanks for your offer of help on Demo Quest.   Demo Quest is pretty much a community project so any contributions you can make will be graciously accepted.   

Have a look at the Games in Prduction thread.  Review the documentation there and the game itself and then PM me when you have some familiarity with the project.
