Is anybody ever going to make a Pirates of the Caribbean game?

Well I'm working on a pirate game at the moment, but it's moving along slowly because it's kinda a side project. I'm using Pirates of the Carribean as inspiration for locations and such, although it isn't a POTC game.

Also I believe custard is working on a pirate game of some kind.

Yeah, slowly but surely. Not really POTC like though, well.. a bit of it i guess. No caribbean beaches i'm afraid, more based in cold wet dark ports in europe where pirates will kidnap you at night to work on their ship ¬¬

I was gonna say, I know someone who is making something similar to a POTC game, I know he wants the same style & feel (and music) - but he's already posted A POTC adventure game would be awesome, but to be fair, just about every movie could make a good game :o

It's stupid.  Not based on the movie or the ride.  No Jack Sparrow, none of them.  You're an unknown pirate guy who meanders through some poorly concieved gameplay.

Well, I suppose it's not terrible, but far from what I want a PoTC game to be like.  So I shun it!

I believe thats because it was originally another pirate game, and was subsequently taken over by the movie producers/whomever.
