Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Gilbert

No, since Blender does not support Zvarly model standard version 3.

I still have no idea what that is, so I maintain that it doesn't matter.  :D

Yet again I point you here, Shbaz, http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=15873.msg195306#msg195306

Get it now? Hehe.

I use 3d max every once and a while to block out a scene I'm having trouble with or to make a quick prop if it's overly technical [like an elevator or water tower] and stick it in and trace it, so I encourage anyone to use whatever means necessary to achieve the end result.

THERE IS NO CHEATING! remember that.

I still don't get it.

Is it a blurring mechanism? Blender has Zblur, but it's weird, you have to do it using the sequence editor, which barely anyone messes with because it's an animation tool. Most people only do stills and ignore pretty much 70% of the code.

<Pesty> I am so clever.
<DGMacphee> ZVarily
<DGMacphee> Err Verily

dg made a typo...

<Pesty> I like ZVarily better.
<[eric]> ZVarily adds Z depth

I made a joke about his typo...

<DGMacphee> Blender doesn't have ZVarily cause it sucks

he made a joke about Blender.

The end!

Hopefully we can put that joke to rest now!

I still don't get it, unless it's what I've always thought it was (something that just doesn't exist) but no one has ever kindly verified that for me.

I noticed the typo, however neither come up in any searches.

LAMEST JOKE EVER.

No, it doesn't exist, it's a joke! Argh!

As I wrote, it was a joke on DG's typo and then he made a joke about Blender, it doesn't exist!

Dg was trying to type verily and accidentally hit Z first adding the Zverily [how you accidentally hit a capital Z i don't know...]

We were probably talking about 3d packages at the time and I just said "Zverily adds zdepth" and DG made a random joke about Blender.

So your first assumption was correct, that it doesn't matter. Moving on!

Eric

However Zbrush has Zawesome built into it... god i love that program

woot, Wings3d?! There's nothing better, not in this world, or another!

Actually, I like Blender.

One: No cost to use
Two: V. Small Download (I'm Mr. Dial-Up, remember?)
Three: It's a good starting point. I was thinking of making a couple of animations with Blender to see how good it'd look, but I lack the willpower for most things.

Except debating in this insane place o'cource.  ;)

Nothing wrong with blender, it's just a joke.

Also, your signature pic is too big, please change it to fit the rules.

Thanks!

I downloaded a trial of Zbrush2, if I could learn how to use it I'd call it the nicest modeller I've ever touched. I almost bought the student version for $200 something, but unfortunately Blender doesn't support high-res disp mapping and I couldn't find an alternative (read: free) renderer..  :-\

Wow, Wings3D is probably the easiest 3D program I've ever used! Blender took hours, and I still don't fully understand how to even do the simplest things. (3D Studio Max is still my favorite...and first 3D program I learned.)

Ek, I'll modify it tonight.  ;) Also, I beleve that Blender supports Yafray (Yet Another Free RAYtracer). Tutorial -> http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/Yafray

Easy is a very relative word.

Wings3d is easy to get started with.
Blender is easy to work very fast in with great efficiency once you've learned it.
