Hah, not really, but the funniest thing happened tonight (or, rather, early this morning, around 3-4am)...

I hypnotized my girlfriend.

No, you read that right, I hypnotized her. It wasn't really intentional, actually. We started talking about paranormal things like out-of-body experiences, astral projection, psychics, hypnosis, etc., and she told me how she was once with a friend of hers, who claimed that my g/f answered her questions in her sleep. Like my girlfriend (Andrea) was asleep, and her friend would ask her a few questions, and Andrea answered back, all while asleep. I then concluded that she wasn't really asleep, but under a form of hypnosis. As we talked some more, I found my voice droning on, sounding monotonous but smooth. She then appeared to have fallen asleep.

To test her real state, I then asked her what the capital of Massachusetts was, expecting her to say something like "Babe, I'm not asleep right now." Instead, she simply said "Boston". I then got all giddy inside as I realized that I could do . . . things

I then told her, calmly and gently, that she was falling deeper into sleep and could only hear my voice. I told her she was competely relaxed, went from her toes up to her head and made sure she was fully "under". I then gave her a little test, knowing that she would never play along to humor me. I told her I was lifting her hand, and as I did I told her that it was now glued in mid-air and that she could not move it, no matter who pushed it or what she wanted. I let it go, and it stayed positioned in mid-air. I pushed her hand; it pushed back. I had her under!

What I had her do next was kinda R-rated (X-rated in some countries

), but suffice it to say, when she woke up (I did a backwards 5-count to gently bring her out of it), she was surprised to feel some moistness.

I had her under hypnosis about 4 times total, for a total of 1-2 hours on and off, just messing around (harmless fun, I assure you). I even got her to flash me whenever I said the phrase "Crazy Horse", which worked great while she was under. When I brought her to, I said the word again, and she flashed me, then suddenly realized what she was doing and said "What the hell? What am I . . . huh?" And I informed her about the keyword. I tried it again and it didn't work this time. Very interesting results, I must say. I gotta find out how these hypnotists get people to do things on command while conscious.

So yeah, I had an interesting time tonight and so did she. I made sure that the next 3 times she remembered what she had done once she awoke each time.

Heh, I know she'd never do it just to humor me. Also, my girlfriend is the type that is VERY easily hypnotizable. So it's not really a big deal that I could do it. Basically, she said that my voice soothes her and puts her into that hypnotic state.

When I was in college I used to hypnotize my roommate.

We used to have so much fun with this, including recording him saying "I hate Sarah, I wish she were dead (Sarah was his girlfriend)" and walking outside in his underwear in 20 degree weather... At which time we would promptly lock him out.

We figured if it were so easy to hypnotize him in his sleep, we would try for something a little more... exciting. We told him that whenever he saw a squirrell, he would be inclined to chase after it. The next day, while carrying Sarah's books, he inexplicably dropped them and tore off into the distance, screaming obsscenities.

This continued for a while, but he never caught any.

Heh, don't worry, I didn't take advantage of her. Honestly, she's very open about a lot of things and she's assured me that there is nothing I could do to her or with her that would offend her.

And I know this bears great responsibility. Trust me, I know, and I assured her that I would never make her do anything embarassing or stupid or harmful. She's the love of my life and I would never do anything to hurt her, in any way.

Terran, did the process of putting someone under hypnosis come to you naturally, armed with only the laborious knowledge of having seen one too many hollywood movies where someone counts backwards towards lucidity or something? I don't think you can do something so procedural and controlled by accident.

And if you did, you do realize poking around in someone's head while they're in a very exposed state to put stuff like LOL SUCK MY DICK and LOL FLASH ME WHENEVER I SAY CRAZY HORSE LOL might possibly be well, morally wrong for one, psychologically dangerous for another and lastly just slightly more than a bit creepy?

I mean, I know she's your girlfriend and everything, but you might want to let her hang on to
such choices as to when and why she might want to flash you.
