Maybe you remember, maybe you don't, but I was here quite some time ago, then this little thing called an Iraq deployment kinda took me away from here. And when I got back I kinda forgot about this little place.

Until I went through my old storage folders and found AGS tucked away in there.

And now I'm back! Maybe I'll get to work on Skytower Rescue again.

Oh, and I'm moving to the UK in March, so maybe I can even make a Mittens or something :)

Anyway, welcome me back, I'm sure you missed me!

I see you've finally decided to adapt to the avatar limitations..  :=
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Alynn

Actually it seems the forums decided to shrink it for me :P He's still as 100X100 as ever.

We are very much so glad to see you back. Thank you for the work that you've done around the world, and we can't wait to see the next bit of work you show us, in our ags world.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Who are you? We don't remember knowing anyone like you!

Just kidding of course. :=

Welcome back alive.

Alynn

Now I gotta go and look around and figure out what has changed... and is that *tears well up* OOP type stuff I see?!?!

Must go read and stuff...

Gilbert

Yeah, the biggest news here is AGS V2.7 was out, and text scripting had been moving towards the OO direction.

Barbarian

Welcome back. Hoping you're in good health after that crazy "Iraq" deployment thang that kept you away for so long.

I seem to recall you were working on an AGS game project, but got put on hold for a while there due to your travelling/working situation. Are you going to dust-it-off and begin work on it again?

Best wishes.

Welcome back Alynn. I was starting to wonder what happened to you. Glad to see you back on the forums and that you're still in one piece.

Welcome back Alynn and thanks for your sacrifice.   If I can be of any help with your AGS just let me know.

Cheers

Also, it's about time for you to take some time and write all the interesting stuff you saw/experienced/lived through in Middle East. A travel journal thingy or sth like that.

Scummbuddy

Yes, it will be a treasured book passed down in your family.

Actually I didn't see much of anything... Just ran from mortars, and fixed computers (my job). I was actually trying to figure out an AGS spin to the deployment, but all in all, it wasn't all that interesting.

Except for the following theory: The attractiveness of females becomes exponentially greater in reference to the number of months spent in Iraq.

Example: A female who is currently a 2 the first month of the deployment.
At month 2 she is now a 4, month 3 she is now an 8, and month four a 16.

Scummbuddy

would that be hotter because she is in a position of "power"?

Wow, in four months she breaks the 1-10 scale. What happens when they return back home and they don't have the cute streaks of dirt on their face?

You know it's funny.

The other day I was doing what I do every few months ... I read through the member names to see names that make me say, "Wonder where he's been?"  and I actually noticed your name and now ... here you are!

Perhaps I'm Sigh-Kick?

Hmmm ...

Anyhow ... Welcome back!!

You mean that you have time to go through 2883 member names? WOW, Darth that's amazing!

Anyway I don't know you Alynn, but judging from your post aobut women you must've had a great time in Iraq.

I wish you all the best.

Nacho

Allways happy to see that members are back and safe from dangerous places. We have Wilma survivors, Iraq Survivors, and Aggia Anna survivors.

(Mittens joke, don't mind it, Alynn, just the part that says I am happy for you ;) )
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Alynn

He probably didn't have to go through that many names to see me. After all, A starts the alphabet.

But yeah, it's good to be back... finally downloaded the 2.7 version. Gonna start mucking about and see what I can figure out... Then maybe I can go help out again in the beginners tech forums... and maybe even make a game again... after I get my webpage up again anyway.

I'll never forget that IRC tidbit that went something like:
