Check your PM's, the people here don't really like people requesting abandonware.

I guess he means the remakes. There are two King's Quest III remakes in makes, VGA one and one with original graphics, but with mouse control I think. You can find info about them over at the 'Games in production' forum.

That is correct. The other difference is that the VGA one follows the original plot, whereas the one with original graphics has an enhanced storyline.
Neither is actually completed yet; the official deadlines are august and september 2014, respectively :)

[nostalgia rant] You may be requesting the fan-made remakes, but I personally recommend the original KQ3 from Sierra. I can't imagine what a remake could do to make this game better, aside from obviously improving the graphics. But, if you were around back in the early 80s playing adventure games, THIS is the game made the KQ series go from "get carrot and give to goat" to an actual living, breathing story and world with characters we could care about. Just my two cents. [/nostalgia rant]

Indeed - if King's Quest one was the foundation, To Heir is Human brought the genre to a truly higher level.

To me the real stuff was KQ4.

...which couldn't have existed without KQ3. My favourite was also KQ4, but KQ3 is indeed a major turning point.

Agreed.  The Original KQ3 is quite awesome, and the fan remake that I'm doing (Infamous Adventures) is basically a 1:1 remake.  We're not changing any of the story, nor adding things to it.  Basically you'll play a VGA version of the same game.  We are adding dialogue pics and some closeups of characters for conversations, but our remake will be the same.  I feel that KQ3 needs no changes - TIERRA'S KQ2 did a nice in-depth re-imagining of the old game, but for this one I feel no changes need be made.
