Error: Latest version needed? (SOLVED)

Hi,
I was working on a game in AGS (and I'm pretty sure it's the latest version) and I saved it. Well, today I tried to edit it again, and it said "Error-this game was made for a later version of AGS. Please update to the latest version." But it couldn't possibly be, because I'm the one who made it, and it worked fine before. It doesn't seem like any of the testing games I made work, either.

Could it be that you have an old version of acwin.exe in your game directory? If so, the game will be compiled to run using that executable instead of the one corresponding to your editor version.

I don't know. I just tried to edit my games that I had just made, and it said that. I only downloaded AGS like a month ago.
I got the Monkey Island GUI, but it worked fine when I edited a game with it, but now it seems like I can't even make a new game with it.

UPDATE: To be specific, this is what the error message says: "ERROR: Invalid editor data file. Error loading game: This game was created with a newer version of AGS. You will need to update to the latest of the AGS Editor to open this game. If you already have the latest version, it is possible this game was created with a beta version, so check out the tech forum for updates."

Are you absolutely sure you're running the right version of AGS?

If you go to the Help, About menu what version does it say?

Errr... what is the latest version? (One thing I don't understand, I thought I only downloaded one version?)

Well, the latest version is 2.71, so it's highly likely that you wouldn't be able to open recent games using 2.61 ...
