Has anyone used AGS to create a virtual walk, by using photos of their town or of inside a building so as to create a free roaming walk of the area?

I was thinking of creating one so i can send to friends in other countries so they can take a walk in my own country and town without the cost of airfare and was wondering if anyone has done yet?

I assume (DUH) it would be easier than making an actual full interactive game, but adding a few interactive bits in scenes may be fun.

And yes i am a full certified AGS Noobie.......Cant u guess??Ã,  lol

Good plan. With the highest resolution possible and a detailed narration and "hotspot" description, it could be a very interesting production.

good idea, it shouldn't be to difficult

i used 3d gamestudio to make a walk through for our house to do decorating ideas, adding walls, where doors needed to beÃ,  that sort of thing

if you wanted a online version LASSIE will support flash soon.. similar concept to ags

theres also VRML world but its a pain in the ass to use and very limited

I also like this idea although I'd prefer drawn to photo backgrounds but I understand how insane most people whould consider doing all the artwork for a full game and not putting a GAME in there... although I think what is proposed in this thread could potentially be much more game-like than one might originally think.

There was some game like this from "The Adventure Company" awhile back. Got terrible reviews. I think it may have been called Santorini or somthing like that.

Reminds me of that old AGS "game"... "The Holocaust Museum", I think it was. It was pretty much just a walk in a museum.
