its not the king you have to kill but the guy in the tent next to the village and you need a real weapon for that.  and to hide from the thief, hide behind the Inn.  think the hotspot is on the left of the building

I think I might have found a bug

in the attic, where the trpadoor is with the rope, I havent managed to work out how to pull the rope, but I can click on the ladder to go up to the roof, even tho theres no ladder to be seen.

What are the sockets for? I lit up the dragon's eye and spoke SECURE to him but nothing happened. I think I have to open up the safe but to do that I need the numbers. I think I found the study to the FAR left, but I tried interacting with the books in the top-right ... ?

the sockets are putting gems into but gems seem to be a purely optional quest, like underwater and the dragons cave.  I thought maybe it was to do with the number of each colour book which i make 2,2,1, but cant find the second half on the green lounger even with the magnifying glass

There is a knife in the kitchen, cut open the sun lounger to find a note, use the magnifying glass on the note

thanks for letting me know! ill fix it immediately. you should only be able to go up there once there is a ghost in the room.
so, er, dont go up there until you see a ghost, it might cause some weird things to happen.
