background shading help

Ha Ha I am OK

This is the second background and i amhaving trouble shading it.

since there are two light sources in the room, all the shadows i tried seemed unrealistic and in the wrong place.
If anyone can help i will appreciate it.

I think you could make the light not so bright where it's just illuminating the air, and a bit brighter where it reflects from the surfaces it meets.

Also, where the two cones overlap, light would be twice as bright, except on both sides of the door, that are in semi-shadow since only illuminated by one light-source. 

Good luck tracing the cones' intersection with floor and wall ;-)

i noticed there was a problem with the door, so i painted over in red, i scuffed it up a bit too, since it looked too clean imo

Actually vault doors are made similar with tapered edges, however it won't fit in the doorframe as currently drawn. so either add a taper to the doorframe, or remove the taper from the door.

Edit: I added a peep hole. thanks for reminding me, i forgot about it.

Edit: I added peep holes to the other doors and fixed the door shading.

Seeing how it is a padded room, shouldn't the door have padding on it?

May I suggest that peep holes be made visible on the other doors as well?

Hi,
nice background, but surely the bit of wall behind the door (to the right of the door) should be slightly darker since it is only getting light from one source.
The best advice I can give you is to always listen to the advice that people give you.

I think it works pretty well as it is now. There is something very sparse and clinical about the background, which suits its purpose well. The style doesn't warrant a more elaborate shading or texture, so keep it simple. However, I suggest two things;
1. Let the wall occupy more of the image and cut back on the ceiling. It's all about priorities; the ceiling takes up about a fourth of the image and it's not very interesting. However, floor typically deserves more space in ag-backgrounds, since it should make room for walking around.
2. Add some lines or tiles or whatever in ceiling and floor to create a sense of depth. There is nothing wrong with the perspective now, but there is nothing to suggest that we're looking at a room, and not a set of areas piled on eachother like a flag.

Please make a paintover and show the results.
