Recognise... anyone?  ;D

My mug in the UK's first ever PS3 magazine!

*PS - Someone else made this scan, I couldn't even buy the magazine today! (Bloody sainsburys *mumble grumble*)

Domino

That's very cool Matt. Congrats.  BTW, i won't buy a PS3 at launch unless they lower the price of the premium system.

jetxl

Heh, a magazine about a console that nobody has. I'm sure there will still be a copy left next week.

vict0r

Congratulations :D

But what's with the ad at top? :P "I won't be buying a PS3. It's way too expensive."? :P

ManicMatt

Thanks guys!

Domino: Me neither, actually!

Jet: They still cover PSP and PS2, and it's a magazine that will still have the fanbase I imagine from PSM2, so hopefully it will do well. (PSM2 came out before the PS2 console was launched by the way)

Vict0r: Oh that's a quote from their letter section. (Sorry I don't quite know how to enlarge it. )

Erenan

Congratulations! Very cool!

??? I'm a little unclear about how exactly you got your face in there. Explain? ???

I won't buy a PS3 at launch simply because of the hefty $600 price tag.  (Not to mention, Sony keeps dropping all these bombs: no more dual shock, possible need to spend more money in the future for "add-ons" if you want to be able to play the best new games, etc).

Okay, back on topic...

Yeah, Matt... How DO you get your mug in there?

Watch, I just killed this topic...

Congrats :) Guess I will have to commit a crime to be able to be seen on a newspaper or mag.

No, you just need to attend an AGS meeting.

PsychicHeart

Awesomenessness!(Just TRY proving it isn't a word. I'll sure you into jail, asshole!)
Call me a n00b, but just out of curiosity, which one are you?
The most logical guess is Matt Barker, but could someone quell my curiosity?
Formerly known as Flukeblake, Flukezy etc.

ManicMatt

Haha you guys make me laugh!

Why I got in the magazine:

While I did nothing but add PSM3 magazine on their myspace page as a friend; the motivation for them to put me in the magazine over other readers is the music video I sent in to them ages ago, and all the other things they've printed that I've sent. like letters. So... in short, they like me! :)

Mr Hyde, are you aware of the reason as to why the joypad isn't dual shock? The vibration technology they used was not their own patent, so they were sued over it's use. So they CAN'T use dual shock anymore. They have put that controller motion control device in to try and make up for it.

Pablo: You lot tried to persuade a church? To do what? Hold a meeting for AGSers?

Flukebake: Matt Barker, that would be me! The second most handsome guy on the page. (What??)

What? Er, apparently you didn't read the Lapaset threads. We got into this magazine during the AGS meeting when we were just passing by a church.

I think he tried to translate it. What it actually means is that the church interested tourists.

*Mr. Hyde digs out last month's issue of PSM...
PSM, July 2006, Issue No. 112.  Page 59, second column, second paragraph:
Quote"Okay, so Sony isn't exactly original - at least future PS3 owners will get a great feature packed in at no extra charge.  There is a catch, however: Sony had to drop the vibration feature because it interfered with the motion sensing technology. So, no more "shock" in your DualShock."

Court case: http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/games/archives/2005/03/29/dual_shock_infringes_on_immersions_tech_sony_required_to_cough_up_90m.html

Oh I was kinda wrong when re-reading PSM2 magazine just now, Sony have said the motion stuff meant they couldn't fit in the dual shock, but PSM2 reckons it's more likely because it would cost way too much to pay for the right to use dual shock. I remembered that bit you see.

Anyway... LOOK! Me in magazine! (Hey we did go off topic there!)  ;)
