Odd blue screen with black line middle in some games

I don't know why, but on certain games such as 6 days an Assassin and Odysseus Kent
this weird error will occur. I will extract the files, then try to open the game file, (as I would usually would do when playing other games) there are all these colors and small pixels on the screen it will slowly fade to a blue color with a black vertical line though the middle of the screen. When this happens i cannot exit and i have to turn off my computer and then turn it back on. btw this is a new computer i got a few months ago and it has never screwed up before.

Another thing I tried to do was download KQ 2 and I got all the files speech, music and game then I tried to open it and it said “this file is not valid with a Win32 application” (the other games just say “contains invalid data” is there another way I can play this game?

If the game wasn't really freezing your computer, try pressing Ctrl-Alt-End to close the game before rebooting.

It may be some display driver problem or the moniter's setting, try setting up the games to run in windows mode or setting them to run in the higher resolution setting to see if they work.

i tryed the games on my old computer and it worked,
i bet it was just the lcd screen that the games didnt work on.

So, did you try ruinning the game in windowed mode?
