I've got the journal and I know about Alexander Davenport, but I still can't get in to see Susan. I studied the journal but to no avail. The answer is so simple, I can feel it.

you need to consult your notebook again, play with matching names again in the notebook......

The moment I saw Alexander Davenport in her notes, I thought, "If she just calls herself Alex Davenport the guard will never be the wiser." It seems like something that would have occurred to the character immediately, just as it would occurred to me.

Still, I like the way in which Dave Gilbert had her figure it out.

Yep it was a fabulous puzzle! Its a very logical game :). Ok now I am at this part...

Rosa has taken the deacon to the stone room where the light is but the devil has closed the exit door, trapping Rosa, and I have talked to both of them.... but nothing more.... I wonder what I have missed. I hope I dont have to restore to an earlier part of the game.... anyone know this part of the game with the devil and deacon?

Did you notice the loose cobblestone? It's at Rosa's feet. I don't know if that will help you. I picked up the cobblestone but haven't figured out how to use it to save The Deacon from The Demon. At this point, I'm not even sure that The Deacon can be saved. In other words, I'm stuck too. I think the cobblestone and The Deacon's drinking may be clues though. Also, The Demon said something about The Deacon not repenting for his sins. Maybe if you could get him to repent, he could escape punishment. But how?

with the devil and deacon, u just need to wait it out, the cobblestone doesn't do anything I dont think, you just pick it up and thats all.... and just wait.. the devil will eventually take the deacon anyway regardless of you tryin to convince the devil to be fair with the deacon.... I did try and play the stone on other items and maybe you try that too...

As unlikely as it seems for Rosangela to be taking notes at this point in the story, perhaps it would be an idea to check her notepad?

You probably mean the notebook in Kelly's room?

Go back to your apartment and talk to Joey. Make sure he mentions his powers. After that you can use that the way you did in Kelly's room.
