Well... I said "Sorry for not knowing the non-western cultures".

"The West" is the name commonly given to some countries of Europe and some counties of America... This "line" dividing "west" and "east" is "unnoficially" placed at the east of Poland, Eslovaqia, Hugary, Jugoslavia and Greece, being Belarus, Ukraïna, Bulgaria, Rumania, etc, considered as "the East countries", without any kind of pejorative sense.

Turkey is even more to the "East", bro, so, unless I became nuts and where I read "non-western cultures" says "Europe", I mustn't be polite or apology for anything...

And the last news I had is that Turkey is being redouced their aspiration to (politically) become Europe. And I said "politically" because, "geographically", Turkey is (And will forever be, unless you start to move huge amounts of earth) 99% placed in Asia.

So... welcome to the forum, and accept an advise... Be less deffensive and enjoy... or your stay here will be unpleasent. (Not a threat, of course... as said, an advise from a friend)
