See? Just get rid of the muzzle, and it makes him look a lot better. You could probably make it look nicer than I can, but this is what you need to do if you want him to look like a teenager. Like I said before: the younger the character, the less detail in the face.Ã,  (EDIT: Ah... For the diagonal view, it just needs to come out a few pixels)

I agree, he looks better. But my problem is: he has to look 19 years old. :( I'm afraid that he looks to young...

The overall question was: "How to make a chibi charakter look adult?"

And as for the walkcycle: it isn't that I don't recognize the skill evident in its creation. I can't animate... especially not lo-res graphics (look at my game in progress: it's all hand drawn art. I can NOT do pixel art to save my life. It's a skill I both envy and admire).

I wasn't sad that you critisised my work. I've post the pictures to hear some critic... ;)

However, it is too far spread to either side. I can't even see what you did to repair it. Make the feet come straight out instead of going to the side. The way the arms swing now adds to it, but once you have the feet coming straight out instead of swaying and flaring out, it will look more like a gallant, purposeful stride than an ice rink maneuver.

I've found the problem. Actually he walks like thiat in the game:
game animation: old:

I just wanted to make some funny walking animation for the funny character. I'm afraid, if I'll make him more real, something will be lost...

Still looks like he's dancing. His arms are too in sync with his feet. Way too much. His feet also need to move less to the side and more straight.

His walking doesn't look so in the game (s.a.).

As for his arms, I don't really want to make mor than 4 frames for his front walking. If I sit to long with his walkcycle, I'll never end this game...Ã,  :(

Surprising the animation is so lacking; coming from an animation competition veteran. ;)

It isn't briliant, but I don't think, it is "so lacking"...Ã,  :-\

His arms just move too much.Ã,  If his hands only came in as far a his hip, and his elbow didn't bend pulling his hand up, he wouldn't look like he's working so hard.

May be I'll really rework his walkcycle later...Ã,  ???

How an animation looks posted here, and how it looks when the char is actually moving around the screen can often be completely different, IMO. For a 'funny' walkcycle it may be OK (although I'd be tempted to tone down the arm movement, as ciborium suggested).

I was thinking along the same lines as esper's slightly fuzzy edit (which I think is an improvement). To me, the highlights on his cheeks make his face look a little pudgy and 'baby fat', which could be part of why he looked so young. You could still have some shading, to define his face more, just dim the highlights.
My attempts:
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

hmm... It seems good, since you've reversed the shading....
