Game Freezes and only unfreeze while click n hold the title bar

Hey all,

first of all hello, im new in the forums and im really really interested in working with AGS...

i followed the tutorials and read most of the FAQs and HELPs, but couldnt find something usefull to my question:

i can start AGS, i can edit things, i can make rooms and chars and etc,

when i save the game, and launch it ( doesnt matter if from AGS or from compiled folder, it ends the same way ), the game freezes, it only unfreeze if i click and hold the title bar ( yeah, that blue title bar every windows window have ) it happens even with template games downloaded here, so i guess its not my test game's fault..

the funny thing is that when i download a finished game ( already protected and compiled ), it works fine and smooth...

Does anyone have any idea on how to help me??

Hmmm. Did you try running the game in the Compiled folder after closing the editor ?

I suspect it's some app. trying to "steal" the focus of your system constantly. I don't know why, but it may be AGSEdit, since you said normal completed games worked, so the only difference I can think of is that when you're making your own game the editor was kept open.

hey! thanks for the reply! and yeap, i did try to close the editor and start the game from the compiled folder, i tryed to redownload the program too, but neither thing worked...

EDIT:
SOLVED ( or sort of ), i changed my game's color depht to 16bit instead of 256 and it worked =) i guess the games i downloaded from the net and worked were 16bit games so they worked! thanks for the replys and ill keep in touch =)

Odd. Maybe it's your graphic card driver interfering with the apps.

Will it work if the game was set to run in fullscreen?

i guess it was my GPU. it didnt worked setting it for Full screen, the only thing that solved was to use 16 bit instead of 8 bit.. very strange, sience if it was a performance problem, it should be the opposite!

but anyways, its " solved " for now and i can continue using AGS ;)
