That rock thing reminds me the ages of Stoneball in Estonian TV, was great! ~50-70 kg stones were used as balls, scull cracks, broken arms and legs were usual things. (Its from a comedy show, if you didn't get it)
I am just a shallow stereotype, so you should take into consideration that my opinion has no great value to you.

Nah, actually baseball seems like a fairly sensible sport. I enjoy throwing balls, so I think I could learn to appreciate it if I gave it a try.

It's  funny to play, but how many people do you need to make a match? 18? it' s difficult to get that amount of baseball lovers in Europe... :)
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

I like baseball, it's fun to play, but I prefer cricket, I'm sure if I was born in USA I would probably play baseball, but as an Australian, cricket is one of the biggest national sports, and I've played it for the last 20 years.

I just got home from my clubs presentation for the last season and I came home with 3 medals and 1 trophy, played the last 8 seasons for my current club, medals for 100 senior matches, taking 10 wickets for a match, and for taking over 40 wickets in a season, I got the teams bowling trophy for taking 46 wickets with an average of 9.89 (my 6th bowling trophy for the club). you'd really have to understand cricket to know what I'm talking about, that's why I posted it in a baseball thread

Woah, an average of 9.89! How many maidens did you get in the season?

Back on topic; baseball seems to be big in the states, although there doesn't seem to be much skill involved from what i've seen...

39 maidens from 176 overs, strike rate of a wicket every 23 balls, econ rate of 2.58 runs per over

It's the best average I've got for a season, it's usually around 15,16 which is still good, my average for the last 5yrs is 14.97

Jon

I'm guessing your a seamer, do you swing it as well?

With figures like that, batsmen must tremble walking to the crease! :=
