Which ad do you think is better?

I really like ProgZmax version. It really feels like an add and if you cannot read the whole text at once you might have the urge to watch for some time to see what it says. The site name is a little hard to read though.

GarageGothic's last version, trust me.

After all, you want to make some sort of cliffhanger, convey some sort of mystery, and his un-aligned typewriter font does the job perfectly.

Also, the first few versions cut the upper part of the image in a way that is totally no-no compostion-wise. The statue appears crammed into the picture, whereas GG's version is given lots of space. And that space, in return, is perfect for having text on it.

Hi all,

Thanks for the great edits!  The reason for the black space at the top is that this is an advertisement, and it needs to grab your attention while you are looking at other stuff on the screen..  When the words are placed on the image itself, my eyes just ignore it.  With the bright white text on a black background, it gets itself noticed a bit more.

Did you use a special font for that, GG?  Or did you do some photoshop fudgery?

I agree, GG's latest version is the best yet.
You can get several "broken typewriter" fonts from Darth's site (twin-fonts).
The bottom of the image still looks amateurish. If you had some way of continuing the image all the way to the bottom (with perhaps a small strip for the web address) I think it would be much improved. A drop shadow (non-directional) on the title should make it pop sufficiently. Use the same typewriter font for the web address, with or without the brokenness.

The font is called Adler. I added a little bit of noise in PhotoShop, but you can't really tell the difference from the original.

The only thing for me is that web address. I misspelled it about 5 times trying to type it in manually. Isn't wegames.com available? At least the ad will be clickable I suppose.
