I tried to use the knife on the door in the kitchen that's without lock but it didn't worked, what shall I do to make it work?

I might sound thick as a brick but as soon as I move the cursor away from the box and the door the text changes from "Use knife with" to "Examine", and I can't find the actual spot. .

When you use the knife with the background you will hear a noise and then you will see a combination of numbers[/hide ]

Love this game and figured out triangles but can't get that stinking lockless door open  to get  last one.  Of course I ran out of time  and am dead but  I have to know how to open that  troublesome door.

What items did you get at last

The last items I got were the phone tape 2 and note from briefcase.  The tape 2 doesn't seem to work with the tape player.  Help would be appreciated.

Ok...so I have listend to tape 1 looked at Zeff and not seeing ANYTHING!!!!!!!!  PLease help!

Tiffany: Go into the winsetup menu in the game's folder and change the default language to english.

Guest: Try using the HAND icon on him.

I tried everything.  Hand Icon, eye icon, interact icon.  Listened to the tape 1 probably 20 times. At this stage I'm so frustrated, feel like erasing the whole game.
